Very nearly perfect
I use this with my Wise Owl Outfitters Flare underquilt and Doubleowl hammock for both camping (backpacking and drive-in camp sites) and for sleeping in my back yard. This net accommodates a diagonal lay in my double hammock, but ends up with my outside elbow pressed against the mesh. Mosquitoes CAN bite through the mesh, so (after getting 17 bites at my elbow in one night) I make sure to line that edge of the hammock with a bit of sleeping bag or wear a sweatshirt. This net is far better than one attached to the top side of a hammock because I can sleep without a sleeping bag or underquilt without getting bitten through the bottom of the hammock. Set-up- Very easy. Just string the included line between the trees the hammock will hang from, hook the net, then feed the hammock ends through the ends of the net, from the inside. Tighten the draw-cords and you're done. At the height I hang things, the bottom of the net hits the ground, but I lay a bathmat underneath it to protect the net from the ground and where I leave my shoes at night. Leaving my shoes directly under the hammock protects them from dew. This net works both on trees of varying girths and distances, and on my hammock stand. The line that comes with the bug net is generously long, so it can handle quite a span if need be. Pack-up- If I'm not traveling, I leave the hammock inside the bug net and stuff both into a pillowcase to store with my camping gear. Rope for the net and tree straps for the hammock fit nicely into the bug net bag so they don't get tangled with the carabiners, and they don't get misplaced since the bag is attached to the net. For traveling, the net and rope fit easily into the attached bag, and the buckled strap can be used to compress the bag and attach it to a backpack. Durability- After a year of frequent use, the zipper still works perfectly and has only snagged on the mesh a handfull of times without causing any rips. I'm careful with it, though, so not sure how it would hold up in the hands of someone less cautious (i.e. a child or distracted teen). There are a few tiny pills in the body of the net, just from the friction of use and repeated packing/unpacking, but no holes. The hooks are all still securely attached and all the seams and stitching are intact. Improvements- It's really great as-is, and my suggestions would increase weight and size so maybe not appropriate for backpacking. It would be great to have a spreader bar at one end to keep the net off my elbow so I could sleep without a sleeping bag or sweatshirt on hot nights. I'd love to have a zipper on both sides, just for the sake of laziness and not having to think about which way the net is hung. A small, reinforced area in the "floor" might be nice to take shoes, and maybe a pet, inside the net, and also to protect the dangling edge from the ground. Aside from all that, I love this net. It's the best I've found so far, and the price is remarkably reasonable.

Sleep worry free!
After my son joined scouts, I decided I was going to start hammock camping. If I didnโt have to carry along enough equipment for the entire family, I may as well pack light. Plus, hammocks get me up off the ground, which is truly awesome! I slept in a hammock one night totally unprepared, and worried about bugs joining me all night; not to mention I was cold with a 0 degree bag even though it was around 50 degrees overnight! After that I started to do some research and discovered 2 things about hammock camping. First, you need something under you that keeps you away from the surrounding air. This prevents CBS (cold butt syndrome). Second, you need a mosquito net surrounding you. Because you are hanging in the air, you need something to shield you from flying insects and creepy crawlies that explore your tree straps. After researching a bunch of options for issue 2 both on Amazon and at local camping stores, I found this company on Amazon. I love that they are an American company that seems to have pride in their products, which beats a lot of whatโs often found on here. I decided to take a chance on this and Wise Owlโs rain fly (for the third thing I learned - weather happens). I was very happy with what appeared to be a well constructed bugnet with good stitching on the seems and smooth zippers. On my first camping trip I brought this to complete a fully stocked hammock setup. This included a therm-a-rest pad to prevent CBS, this bugnet, the Wise Owl rainfly, and my Eno hammock - along with a warm weather sleeping bag. I have to say, hammock camping the right way beats the heck out of tent camping. I was more comfortable (and not worried about bugs thanks to this), than I typically am at home on my very expensive memory foam mattress. Thatโs not just my subjective opinion either. My watch monitors my sleep every night, and for the 2 nights of hammock camping I had far more REM sleep that I do on a typical night at home. The only downside to this particular mosquito net is weight. It doesnโt bother me much since Iโll mostly be car-camping with this, but if you are going to pack stuff for any significant distance, weight is key, and there are lighter bugnets. Of course since this is heavier, it is probably built sturdier than those light weight options, so hopefully will last longer. This has a midway vertical zipper, which makes it easy to get into and out of. You simply unzip it, arrange your sleeping bag inside the hammock, then sit down in the middle, Then just swing your feet in and lay yourself flat, and zip up. Itโs hard to picture but easy to do once you have everything set up. Get this if you want to stop worrying about bugs at night, and get the full setup if you want a great night of sleep outside!

another great Wise Owl product
Great addition to our gear. This bug net definitely keeps those pesky bugs out, when fully zipped. Giving 4 stars because the zipper had an issue, but not a deal breaker for me. So nice for my girl and I to be able to hang out and not swat those gnats away. (see photo) We have other Wise Owl gear and use it all. The price was right, material seems sturdy, basic black is a good colour for this. Easy to hang, just remember to slide it around hammock first before hanging hammock.

Excelent quality, low price. Don't waste your money on a more expensive brand.
Well built. I bought a Wise Owl hammock two years ago for camping. Went with Wise Owl because the quality seemed good and the products were a lot cheaper than the popular ones. I figured if hammock camping was just a fad my son would grow out of soon I wouldn't be out that much money for the hammocks. Two years later he hasn't grown out of it so it became time to upgrade. Went shopping again looked at all the popular and expensive brands. I visited local outfitters and REI to examine their wares. Looked at dozens of hammock kits on Amazon. My research led me back to Wise Owl and I was not disappointed. I purchase mosquito nets and flies. The flies are extremely well built. All edges are double sewn with stress points. You don't just tie the line to the corner. Adjustable cord tensioners make adjustment easy. The tarp is long and wide enough to provide good shelter from the sun and rain. It can be used with or without poles. Hiking sticks can be used to help configure it to meet the needs of your location. My only complaint is the length of the stakes. The soil where I spend most of my time is sand and they just aren't long enough. Fortunately I keep a supply of longer stakes. The SnugNet is a quality product. It can be packed into its attached bag in a way it can be installed over the hammock without fully removing it. Great for keeping it from dragging on the ground and possible snagging. The zippers are light to pull and do not snag on the fabric. It's bad enough when the tent zipper snags in the middle of the night when you got to go. It can be dangerous in a hammock. Fortunately not a worry with this bug net. At my normal hammock hanging height the net just touched the ground. Next time I'll hang the hammock a few inches higher and it should solve the problem. The only thing I would like to see added to this net is a loop of fabric on the inside top to clip a small flashlight.

Great piece of kit.
Had it a week and already used it. Worked great and made me laugh when I was in my hammock because I could hear the mosquitoes buzz by my head outside the net but they couldn't get to me.

Lightweight for backpacking
I utilized the Wise Owl Hammock Bug Net during my hike to Havasu and I cannot recommend it highly enough! From the moment I set it up, I was impressed by how easy it was to install over my Eno double hammock. It provided ample coverage and created a bug-free zone that allowed me to relax and enjoy the stunning surroundings without the annoyance of pesky insects. The mesh material is durable while remaining lightweight, making it the perfect addition to any hiking gear. The design ensured I had a clear view of the breathtaking Havasu scenery, which was a major plus. Overall it was a game-changer for my hiking experience. It exceeded my expectations and truly made my time at Havasu that much more enjoyable.

Makes me want to sleep in my hammock every night!
I will absolutely use my hammock every chance I get, and this bug net makes the experience enjoyable and bug-free, especially when the mosquitoes are out in the summer. I originally bought this net last summer (note to durability here, I've used it dozens of times since and have never had any rips or tears) to keep the bugs off me when my boyfriend and I decided to camp out in our hammocks one night. He insisted that he would be fine without a net and went to sleep. I shrugged and got into my own hammock, zipped up the net, and passed out. I woke up without any bites, but he did not. He immediately asked where I bought mine, so I gifted him a net for himself. It fit his double hammock nicely (not a WOO hammock, I forget the brand). The net is very easy to set up. I normally start by securing the ridge line to one tree, then loosely tying it around another so I can clip the net on. Once the net is attached to the line, I return to the second tree to tighten and secure the ridge line. I then slide my hammock (Wise Owl Single) through the net and clip it to the tree straps. The net keeps out bugs, but still allows the breeze to come through. On a starry night, I have no problem seeing them from the inside! I would buy this net again, and I would recommend it to anyone looking to buy a net.

Amazing!
This was perfect for transforming our hammock into a bed for our one week backcountry camping trip. I wouldnโt do a tent again! This with the hammock was comfy and perfect for a waterfront view from our site. Best camping purchase yet!

Descent Bug Net
Relatively descent quality bug net but somewhat finicky and difficult to set up. Like the compact size for backpacking.

Easy setup
Really easy to setup. Really fine and soft mesh. Worked great in northern BC, Canada where mosquitoes can be bad.

Hammock Bug Net by Wise Owl
Works great so far it is very large for the double hammock. The stiching seems to be of good quality being it fairly new and not having it for a longer time to test its longevity thus only 4 stars. But it does keep the mosquitos away not sure about any other smaller insects yet. I would recommend this company and product the price is right and the service is great. The delivery came quickly even during a COVID crisis. But as with Wise Owl products being amazing quality I will upgrade to 5 stars when I do more heavy use.
