I bought this for a photoshoot prop and it works exactly as I'd hoped. Its a heavy duty glass and the little carrying bag is a nice touch, just enough to keep it from scratching. I did end up buying a cheap sunglasses pouch to protect the prism, since the included bag was too thin to protect it from chipping if it knocked into something. The prism was beautiful and achieved the results I'd hoped for!

Exactly what I needed for pictures! If you’re looking for something that’s reasonable priced and need something cool for picture taking then I suggest buying it. You can really manipulate lighting and it also looks cool on mirrors because it reflects all the rainbow look on things.

I'm cannot wait to play with this. I own a couple of community newspapers and my professional photographers were more than excited about my purchase. They are taking turns borrowing it and promise to share what they find with our readers, Me? I just want it back so I can also play with it and see what photos result. The company is A+ in my book. It was delivered as promised and packed well. They even followed up with an email to make sure I was entirely satisfied with my purchase. I am.

Clear without aberrations. For Photography one needs a one a bit larger, maybe 1-1/2"(40mm).

Finally. A photography tool that doesn't break the bank! I recently came across a blog that alerted me to the technique of "prisming". Of course I had to try it. Firstly, the prism came well presented in a pretty box. I love that it came with a pouch too, because realistically, that box is NOT fitting in my camera bag. I took the prism for a test run at the first opportunity. So here are my thoughts. You could play with this for hours! There are so many different effects you can create, simply by twisting the prism. But there was a bit of a learning curve. For example, I realized I needed to shoot with manual focus because the prism kept interfering with select focus. And although I managed without one, a tripod would have made it easier to shoot. Overall, I like most of the images I shot. I do like the more subtle effects this prism creates, but that's just my personal preference. The double exposure look is pretty different as well. I have a feeling I'll be using this prism a bit. On a different note, my son became obsessed with creating rainbows, ever since I showed him how the prism works. This is one toy I'm going to need to share : ) **I completely overlooked the card placed inside the box. The guide could have been useful to read before I began experimenting. But I'm thrilled with the science aspect of it.

Is very pretty and good quality glass, I did buy another brand before but returned because the glass wasn't clear at all. This prism is optically perfect and totally free of flaws. I compared it to the one I used growing up and couldn’t believe how primitive the prism I had as a child was. I remember my prism was $10 in the 70s which compares to $50 today.

We bought this for our 5 year-old grandson. It is a beautiful piece and works well. My only complaint is that it is heavy, and because it is glass, we worry that he will drop it and break it. Probably best for somebody older than 5!
