11w PL Lamp Energy Saving Light Bulb 2 pin 6500k Daylight White G23 S

I have a Daylight Company desk lamp (it's great, too). The tube stopped lighting up after two years? of use. The Daylight tube on Amazon is priced at £15-odd. This one is less than a quarter of the price (it's "free postage"). It looks identical to the light tube I've just taken out of the lamp. Just as bright. Obviously, I recommend it.

It's a good product -- gives out daylight type glow. This item is usually much dearer in DIY or other electrical shop. I resorted to Amazon & researched for this lamp online because I could not find in my local B&Q this humble bulb for my table lamp, which I needed badly. I was so pleased with the ease with which this bulb was supplied that I bought two more (to avoid any future fruitless trips to an electical store in snow and rain). Please do check that the glow is "daylight" or near daylight, if that's your requirement. Other bulbs of similar fitting have a warm glow (it all depends on its colour code, I have recently learnt!). I find this daylight glow best suited to reading & similar desk work.

I bought the reading lamp that this bulb was used in almost 20 years ago from the RNIB. I must admit, I was staggered the original tube had lasted so long. Finding this replacement was not easy. Not least because there are very similar tbes with only mono subtle difference out there. Before buying from Amazon, I had to go back to the RNIB website to see if I could find th exact name for this type of tube. Once I had done that, it was easy. This one that I bought does all, and a little bit more than what i want. It actually seems to be a bit brighter even though it is the same wattage as the original that i had. Be warned, it is a tight fit to get it into the lamp, and yu do need to use a little bt of controlled force to finally push it down so that the two very small notches on the side of the starter unit, at the base of the tbe, click into place properly. Other than that, there is not much to say. Nice bright white light. Makes reading so much easier. A good buy.

I bought this for an Ikea desk lamp which was starting to light a little slow and burn a little dim. I wanted a daylight tube as I'm in the process of converting all of the lights to 6500K temperature. The lamp lives in my workshop. I do all kinds of things from electronics to clockmaking, plenty of repairs, small DIY jobs and the like. I need a bright like with good colour rendering. Compared to the old stock lamp, this is much brighter. The colour temperature looks to be very close to daylight, which is great. It comes on quickly and reaches full brightness almost instantly. I can't see any flicker. It's still going strong, and I would expect it to last for years. Obviously I can't comment on the longevity.

Quite dim compared to my previous lamp which also has a rating of 11W and 900lm. Good thing is that it does not buzz as much as my old lamp. However flicker is still noticeable, and may get annoying and cause eye strain after some time. Also, the picture is very misleading.

Ordered this as a replacement light for our fish tank. Works perfectly and does the job. It has a slightly different glow to the previous light - a little more yellow but it’s not a problem at all.

I dont usually write reviews but these bulbs have a crazy long life, not sure if i got lucky or what but i ordered 2 of these 2 years ago and im still only on the first one, i have a really bad habit of leaving my tank light on for like days at a time so it was constantly on, ive just now retired my old tank so im not using the light anymore but i bought 2 bc i thought it was gonna last like 6 months max, second one is still in the bubble wrap, highly recommended

What can you honestly say about a light bulb? I venture to suggest that the Stearn Electric G23 is one of the best bulbs on the market at present, certainly cost wise, and they "don't half last a long time" but apart from that it's just a commodity that brings a little light into my life and obeys the command of the light switch every time it's called upon to shine. Nice product, very nice price!

Mi aspettavo lo spettro troppo freddo quasi azzurro, ni aspettavo una luce più naturale

Parfait pour mon aquarium. Je cherchais à remplacer l'ampoule dans ma lampe dennerle. Ca se clipse et tient très bien même sans la fixation à vices. La luminosité est bonne, la couleur est suffisamment blanche, les plantes ont l'air apprécier, ca pousse mieux. A voir dans le temps. En tout cas le prix est imbattable.

Vino rápido y en buen estado. Funciona muy bien

Utilisé pour remplacer le néon de mon aquarium, 3 à 4 fois moins cher que l'original, moyennant un peu de bricolage.

Après en avoir reçu une première qui ne s'est jamais allumée, je l'ai retournée et commandée un autre qui fonctinne parfaitement sur ma vieille lampe d'établi. A ce propos les remousements et retours Amazon ce sont toujours bien déroulés
