Is there a trick to using this scanner? It didn’t pick up any of my 3 dogs chips!

Why would someone want to buy a scanner that does not read one of the world's largest seller of chips, avid?

Avid has their own patent for their chips and matching scanner. In our area this chip is rarely used for that reason but rather the universal readable ones

What chips will this scanner NOT read?

I tried to scan 15 dogs who all had chips. It did not pick up any of them.

Does this scanner read AKC microchips?

Yes it does. It’s a great scanner and works well with the AKC iso microchips.
