A must have accessory for an all in one hammock hang. Bought to cover a Hennessy Hammock and larger hex tarp all in the 1 snake skin. It all fits nicely. Not so snug it’s a struggle to pack away, but not so loose it flaps about everywhere

adds a bit more bulk to your rucksack if your into saving grams of weight but its worth the extra grams its just so handy to deploy especially if its windy, easier taking down as well as you can pull one half on as you ondo the tie outsnow i just leave it in snake skin mode until its needed would highly recommend saves alot of time.

It's pretty much as simple as the title.If you've got a Hennessy Hammock and want to protect it. You need theseSo there are 2 schools of thought. One, says slide them down your hammock, makes it easier to put away and less chance of the no-see-um mesh getting damaged and torn on brambles or thorns, or just debris on the floor. Once the snakeskins are on, you can take down the tarp and your hammock is protected from the rain.Second school of thought, you have the skins over both the tarp and the hammock.Let me state, I've tried both, and I'm mainly in the first camp.So for the second option. If everything is dry, and you can put away both, you end up with a near compressible sausage to pack away your whole sleep system into.However if the tarp is even damp, that means you're going to get a damp hammock, which I don't like.So for me, I use it just for the hammock. works great for me.Why 4 stars, well they are twice the price of other snakeskins. So that's the main reason.

Works well (I have a large asym HH and tarp). Worth watching a few you tube videos to see how to do this efficiently. Extremely satisfying to put up ones hammock with minimum fuss using these

I already had 2 Snakeskins that came with my Hennessy Expedition Asym 10 years agoThese seems lighter and more slick than the originalsI have the originals that go over the hammock/bug net core, and then this second set goes over the fly and inner core bundleEven in Ireland's driving rain I can get the inner core set aside still dry, and then a wet fly wrapped in a snakeskin as well without getting everything soakedHighly recommended

Great! Fits over my home hammock. Big, bulky cotton hammock I use on my balcony. It will help when I take it down as well as the cotton ropes somehow, always make themselves into a knot, no matter how carefully I put it away. Mainly bought to stop sun rot on cloth “ropes” as my balcony is very exposed to elements. Actual cot I lay in is protected by tarp system I just rig up when needed, using stands I made . Great, very simple idea , exactly what I needed.Punkrockbrian

These are just plain awesome! They make setting up my tarp such a breeze. I'm able to leave my ridgeline connected to my tarp so all I have to do is connect the ends of my ridgeline to the trees and my tarp is setup in seconds. These are especially helpful if you find yourself setting up in the rain as you can set your tarp up much faster and keep your hammock completely dry as you can finish your set-up out of the rain. Also nice to be able to tuck your tarp away and just hang in your hammock and enjoy the stars, and if there's a chance of rain, just pull these back, stake your tarp and your golden. Great concept and made of high quality material. Will probably buy another set to use for my hammock as well. Depending on your gear and personal preference, these do allow the room to stuff your hammock and tarp together. Personally, I like keeping my tarp seperate so I can throw my tarp up quickly if it starts raining and I need a dry place to cook a quick meal or just wait out a passing shower.
