Fast, but a little buggy (pun intended)
The warning says it’s not a toy and recommended for people 14+. Believe the warning. It’s fast! Even with the small motor. The throttle is very sensitive, almost like an on-off switch which makes it difficult to control. You can dial down the throttle to limit the speed, but then the ESC is spotty and may not let you reverse the car. Pretty frustrating. I run it mostly on asphalt and replaced the wheels/tires with 1/10 on road tires which have more grip. Because of extra grip on asphalt, the car flips easily if you turn too aggressively. (It flips even with off-road tires). Team Associated sells an anti-roll bar which IMO should have come standard with the car. Despite its flaws it’s still a fun little car. I get to play with it until my son is old enough to run it.
