Item is of much higher quality than expected. Extremely well built and works perfectly. Unfortunately not what I needed, but that's my fault as I hadn't read the spec carefully. Usual reliable service as far as Amazon is concerned though.

An excellent low cost unit, just plug it in and it woks fine, no messing around at all, I feed an old analog projector from a amazon fire stick with excellent results. Recommended.

I bought this product to be able to connect a SNES Classic to a CRT TV. And if this is why you're looking at this, I'd suggest you don't buy it. The problem being that the SNES Classic (or any of the mini consoles) only outputs at 720p (even if the image isn't stretched), which means this device will then compress the image horizontally to fit a 4:3 screen - with no way to adjust it. Obviously, if you intend to connect this to a widescreen CRT, then go for it (although those TVs aren't exactly lag free, so you might not want to that either). Now, what I didn't expect was for this product to be incredibly useful for something else entirely... I've managed to connect an old PC to it, and here is where it shines - although with a significant composite blur. You see, the trick really is to get the input resolution into this thing to be 4:3, and as low as you can get. For the SNES Classic, this thing would take the 720p input and "upscale" internally to 1080p 60 and then output at what I think is 576i. But when I connect this to the PC, and change the PC resolution to 480p @59hz (the refresh rate matters a lot), the device understands it and outputs at the correct resolution and aspect ratio. It works for other resolutions as well, albeit a little hit and miss. 800x600, 720x576, 640x480 all worked as long as I've set the refresh rate to 59hz (instead of the default 60hz which for whatever reason this thing switches back to 1080p again). In short, a bit finnicky, no instructions/menus/anything to learn from so a lot of trial and error, but when it works, it is essentially lag-free and as good as you can get with composite video (unless you're willing to spend A LOT more on a Retrotink 5x or something similar).

Arrived on time as stated feel good quality for the price easy to setup and picture quality good.

The difference in quality between the hdmi in (4k) and the 1080 out is very noticeable as I would expect. Easy to set up and works well.

This HDMI to composite video and audio converter does exactly what it says, and very well too. I connected the signal from the HDMI output of my satellite receiver to the converter’s hdmi input (via a separate HDMI splitter so I could maintain the connection to my main TV) and it immediately produced composite video (CVBS) and left/right audio. I had to use a separate 5v USB power supply (not included). The output quality is excellent, and can be switched between NTSC and PAL. Note the main difference between the two formats in this simple application is a slightly higher vertical resolution with PAL but a slightly higher frame rate with NTSC. I doubt whether most users would notice the difference when using modern digital televisions. A bonus feature is under no-input conditions the converter outputs colour bars which is really useful when setting up or fault finding. The construction of the converter is very professional, with gold-plated connectors and a heavy all-metal case secured with four small screws. It also has an LED power indicator.

Waste of time.... After many hours of research this was supposed to be the one to get my amazon fire stick working on an older tv without a hdmi slot, did everything I was supposed to as per instructions was given the poorest picture I’ve ever seen , not clear at all and flickering constantly . Why do amazon not have a product that actually works for people wanting to connect a fire stick to a tv without a hdmi slot..?

Bought this specifically to let me run a Chromecast v2 in my car via my standard triple-RCA inputs at the rear of my AV headunit. Had it professionally installed with USB power for this device, the Chromecast and the 4G mobile dongle, all accessible in the glovebox. And it works perfectly. I am impressed. If you're looking for something to use in a specialist type of setting like this one and can supply reliable power from your vehicle, then do it. Its great.

J'ai des vidéos sur un PC portable et je veux les visionner sur une vieille TV cathodique. Cet adaptateur rempli très bien son rôle. Câble HDMI entre le PC et le boitier. L'alimentation 5v est normalement fournie par le câble HDMI, vérifier que la LED Power est bien allumée. Sinon utiliser le cordon USB fourni et ajouter un petit boitier d’alimentation 5v extérieur. Relier 3 câbles RCA/CINCH entre le boitier et les entrées RCA de la TV : deux câbles pour l'audio et un câble pour la vidéo composite. Pour la France sélectionner le mode PAL sur le boitier. Valider la sortie audio HDMI sur le PC et choisir la bonne entrée vidéo sur la TV et ça marche. En attendant que la TV ne soit morte, pour 16€, ça vaut le coup.

Preso per convertire una chromecast che giaceva inutilizzata in chromecast audio visto che quest'ultima mi ha abbandonato dopo 6 anni di utilizzo. Funziona bene e la qualità è buona se paragonata all'ascolto via cavo. Volevo realizzare uno streamer con il raspberry + dac dedicato ma credo che attualmente mi accontenterò di questo visto che la riproduzione è comunque più che soddisfacente, esattamente come il chromecast audio che avevo prima 👍

Excelente. Me permite conectar ordenador, Chromecast, Fire TV Stick, Raspberry, centro multimedia, etc., etc. a mi antiguo televisor. Me ha permitido darle una nueva oportunidad a mi TV, así que se merece un 10 rotundo. La calidad de imagen, con cualquiera de los aparatos descritos es muy buena. Se oye bien también. No hay desfases ni nada raro. Además, no se calienta nada; aunque estés mucho tiempo usándolo sigue frío. Si volviera a comprar, quizá elegiría un modelo con S-Video, pues es una señal más estable que la RGA (a veces si se mueven los cables, hace un poco de ruido, y hay que recolocarlos).

Bonjour Convertisseur acheté pour pouvoir enregistrer une source hdmi sur mon ancien enregisteur cassette DVD disque dur avec des entrées peritel , RCA Pour ma part jai branche le câble d' alimentation usb (fourni) sur un chargeur usb (non fourni un petit chargeur de téléphone est OK) Bien sur la perte de définition devient celle de l ancien standard VHS DVD RCA Fait bien le job idéal pour pouvoir brancher une sortie hdmi sur un matériel plus ancien pour info le boitier affiche un mire en absence de signal bien pratique pour se retrouver dans les branchement ci joint quelques photos Cordialement
