I bought the MATRIX Food For Soft Hydrating Conditioner because my hair was dry and hard to manage, and I needed something that would truly hydrate it. I have multi-textured biracial hair. It’s fine and curly and has frizzy spots and can get dry very fast. It’s highly porous and has been colored a few times. After just one use I had an Instant noticeable difference in softness and hydration. This Increases the shine of my hair and helps great with tangles. I use this entire line of Matrix and the hydration and overall health of my hair has improved greatly.

The 4 star review is for the product. It’s really nice if you are in desperate need of detangling and softness. The scent is pretty strong and does linger on your hair for days but doesn’t smell bad. I’d maybe alternate it with another shampoo and conditioner because it does cause my scalp to itch. If you are interested in this product for the love of god do not order it off Amazon. Ulta sells it and also some targets. Amazon ships this in a paper mailer and the bottles have not the best lids so the shampoo lid completely popped off and leaked 75% of the product which is super disappointing for something pretty expensive.
