The noted Victorian-era designer Karl Klimsch excelled in the use of clean lines, shading, and three-dimensional effects in rendering the elements of decorative alphabets. His exceptional skills are notably evident in this comprehensive compilation of more than 2,000 elegant two-letter monograms, originally published in a German edition in 1869. Imagination, ingenuity, and a disciplined freedom distinguish these inventive initials, ideal for use on scrolls, certificates, awards, and other printed announcements in need of calligraphic excitement. The handsome Victorian-styled monograms are easily reproduced and copyright free, ready for immediate use in art, needlework, crafts, and other decorative projects. Review: 2,100 Victorian Monograms - Great and very helpful book for engravers or art designers! Highly recommended! Book came little smashed, due to soft package, but overall I’m satisfied. Review: Love it - I absolutely love all the variations in style, and that it shows both the capital and small case letters for each type. 2/3 through there are examples of different styles put together to show how they could be used for different advertising effects and then examples of actual old posters, which I found interesting. But it was the addition of monograms in various stylings with an explanation of what would be needed to create my own that was most helpful as that was my goal with purchasing this book.

2,1000 Victorian Monograms....
I like it a lot. How many more exmples of Monograms. A colosal piece of work and a lot a research was certainly needed to accomplish this book. I would buy it again.

Happy with purchase would recommend adding Labels.
Happy with purchase would recommend adding Labels or indicators of which styles belong to what letters. I’m loving this book, used it many times already for designs in different ways. I started doing tattoo sketches to use for stencils to eventually be tattooed. Then I started writing out an alphabet in a style I really like (on pic 4 it’s on the bottom right), to use in Procreate. I took the letters in the program from a pic I took and started copying and rearranging them to spell out my message. This book is versatile in what I can do with it with my own creativity. I didn’t expect to find most of my letters in here, even though it was hard to find with no labels or such indicators as to what font types they are. Other than Victorian era. Overall I’m pleased with my purchase and would recommend to you creative types and people looking to expand their ideas about fancy, ornate letter styles.

I love this book and it really is very broad with the monograms it shows. However, there is no index or description as to what the letters actually are. Sometimes they are so intricate that you can't really tell what letters are overlapping. That is the only thing I wish it had.

Amazon transaction went well.
I really like the content of this book, and although it was new the copy was not clear enough to use. It looked like it was printed on a dirty copy machine. I contacted the publisher. They checked their stock and found this was probably just a bad copy. They were quick to send me a clean copy which I really like. my transaction with Amazon was, as always perfect.

2100 Victorian Monograms (Paperback) by Karl Klimsch
Beautiful thought out designs, a real must for designers who like the intricate. Many of the drawings are fully detailed, most are much smaller basic designs around the main stunners in the middle of the pages. Well worth having.

DECEPCIONANTE
