I really like this unflavored gelatin. I mix it into hot drinks and there is little or no taste. Gelatin can help with hair and nail strength. This gelatin can also be used in your favorite recipes .

I wanted a gelatin powder to help supplement my joints. Beef is best,and this brand appeared to have the best value. I wasn't disappointed, as the quality is very good, too. Now the problem is, at the time of this writing, its not available! Maybe in the future. Lol.

I bought the 4 lb. jar last January. I read reviews, so I dissolved 1/2 a Tbsp (half of what others were taking which seemed excessive) stirred into 4 oz of water for a few minutes(let it "bloom"), then microwaved it for 20 seconds and stirred again. I then drink that with my vitamins for the day. The temperature is tepid, and there is no taste or smell. If it gets too hot, it will smell like beef bones. I had a worn out shoulder, my knees were hurting, I had a pain in my hip bone where my leg bone goes in and it would give out every now and then, which they say women get after menopause and they have all kinds of drugs for this stuff. I don't take any drugs, so I experimented with replenishing with gelatin/collagen. Gradually, I noticed decreasing pain/worn-out-ness and after 2 months, I was pain free. Eventually, I decreased from daily to 4 times per week. I feel great. No more knee pains, that hip pain/weakness is long gone and my shoulder is better. It did not affect back pain. The 4 lb. jar still isn't finished. I estimate that it will have lasted me a year and a quarter. I just ordered another one. I'm so glad I tried this.

The gelatin powder works great for making healthy gummy bears, only gelatin, juice, and a little honey,I added one extra teaspoon of gelatin powder to make them firm and refrigerated them for 24 hr. They were flavorful and were perfect in texture, I used ice cube trays and filled each with little less than half full.
