Do not be fooled by the title this book covers complex mathematics
I am still working my way through this book so you might think that this is a premature review. However this book nails down what you need to know and examples with answers on differential equations, the book also has Java code for Euler's theorem which although published over fifteen years ago is still current today.

Very happy withthis book
This resolved many of the incomprehensible parts of other textbooks. Very happy withthis book.

understanding the read
As a dummy, I wanted it to be simpler meaning less reading and more problem solving, I bought the book to refresh what I already know and have forgotten. It is handy, but it is not quick!

Pretty good
Pretty good. Learned a lot from it as a reference. Almost renders the textbook used in class useless. But lacks some explanations for clarity that took a while to figure out by myself. Needs the workbook. Actually, if I had to choose, I'd to get the workbook before this one.

New book. A couple of pages were not cut entirely, or stuck together somehow. 20 years ago nobody dared to sell this kind of quality, today you get 1 pound off the list price but no one tells you....

NOT for Dummies. Believe me!
Now, having read the For Dummies book on Calculus (which was very, very good) I was very eager to get this one on Differential Equations. However, I am very disappointed with this book. Like others have written in their reviews, this book fails miserably as a book 'for dummies'. The author states many complicated looking equations one after the other with no explanations between them apart from 'and so' 'and:' 'So:' 'where n is an integer'. And really, minimal effort has been made to EXPLAIN what those equations are, what the notation means etc. I am quite surprised at the lack of simplification and/or explanation. Even for someone such as myself who has a degree in engineering but have real difficultly in some areas I wanted to brush up on and gain real understanding, I found that going through this book ONLY ADDS TO MY CONFUSION. On the whole I would not recommend this book to anyone. Extremely disappointed.

For Dummies is like the Bible or Quran you just have to MEMORIZE this book to pass differential equations. Unlike conventional textbooks where they give you mostly practice problems in 400 pages, For Dummies gives you step by step details in 400 pages.

Çok teşekkürler.

This book is not for dummies, this is for those who have advanced knowledge in calculus. It did not help me at all in understading differential equation. This is a "must not buy" item. It should be given a negative star rating. 😡😡😡😡
