I have these on every ground floor window and they have given me such confidence on a security basis. They are easy to fix. I used the self adhesive pads and they are very strong. I also have them on my bedroom windows as I like to keep them open during the night. They stop any wind pulling them open during the night so I have no fear of them breaking their hinges. Pleased as punch with this fine.

These are great and easy to install. We just attached ours with the 3M sticker which comes with it and it's incredibly strong. Easy to use and blends in nicely with our white upvc windows!

If you don't want to go drilling holes in your UPVC double glazing frames, these are definately worth the purchase, BUT I wouldn't advise using them as a safety measure to prevent children opening the windows because they just aren't up to the job if attached by the sticky pads. However, if like me you want to stop your cat from getting out, these are for you. Obviously clean the area where they will be stuck to (I used some methylated spirits), otherwise they may not stay in place (mistake I think many people make). They are 3M sticky pads so they should stick fast for a long time.

As far as being a safety lock, especially for children, these locks are not fit for purpose. Luckily we live in a bungalow and don`t have any small children but all of the locks fitted with the adhesive stickers have fallen off. As these are newly fitted windows, we didn't want to screw these locks to the windows and damage them. Imagine fitting these in a high-rise, and you have small children. They are dangerous. Definitely would not recommend!!

Auch die Montage war unkompliziert und schnell erledigt.Man kann das Fenster immernoch kippen oder einen kleinen Spalt öffnen, je nachdem in welchem Abstand man das Schloss anbringt aber so wenig eben, dass nichts passieren kann.Fazit: Wer seine Fenster kindersicher machen möchte, trifft mit diesem Schloss eine hervorragende Wahl. Robust, zuverlässig und einfach in der Handhabung – ich kann es uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.
