I really like these devices. I set up the first one as Wireless AP. and I was able to access it from a good 200 yards away. Through a cabin wall and a few trees but it was about as "line of sight" as it could be without being able to see it. I added another this past week and it was pretty simple to change the wireless ap to mesh AP and add the second mesh extender. I wasn't able to get it to pair with the hardware button. I had to do it through the two GUIs. But not a big deal. The hardest part is getting the stupid Ethernet cable through the waterproof gland assembly. Like always they make those a tiny bit too small and makes getting the cable through impossible and full of cursing. small flathead finally helped and I was able to shove it through there. Don't misplace the rubber insert for the reset button like me. Don't see where they offer replacements. but it shouldn't get wet in its orientation. Comes with a passive POE injector, but I'm running mine straight from a POE switch. I thought I was going to need 3 to stretch to the area I was trying to watch with cameras but I was able to make it with 2. I leave a cheap deck box nearby with the POE switch in it and stick a 1024wh battery pack in them to power the AP, Switch, and 1 camera. they run all night allowing remote viewing of deer and other wildlife. Really expands my viewing capabilities. I wasn't really able to get beyond 40-50 yards or so with the cheap little "travel" router I was using. I'm now watching deer 350+ yards away. Very much worth the cost IMO.

Even though the manual is very fine print and the instructions are a bit vague, I got it up and running. It is much more powerful than my retired unit, as promised. One problem was, there was no way I could pass the ethernet plug through the sealing fitting. The only way I could do that was to ream it out to a larger size hole. I think it sealed okay. Those engineers should consider that the plug is usually on the cable before installing. Working very well so far.

If you’re planning to run multiple SSIDs, be aware of a big limitation: it only works if you split the 2.4GHz and 5GHz radios. Even then, it works in mesh mode, but not in AP mode. Outside of that setup, multi-SSID just isn’t happening. For the price, that’s a pretty significant drawback, especially if you’re expecting this to function as a full multi-SSID access point. It may end up going back because of that. Setup is straightforward and easy, but you’re limited in how many SSIDs you can actually deploy. What would make this a standout AP: • Per-SSID bandwidth limiting • True multi-SSID support (without radio splitting) If it had those features, this would easily be a 5-star device. As it stands, it’s good, but with some frustrating limitations.

Worth every penny! Easy set up and if you have issues no biggie just call the help line and they will help you set it up within 10 min. The range on this product is amazing. We now have internet and WiFi call Ming at our barns.

This thing worked exceptionally well. Got WiFi coverage out to my shop about 125 feet away from the house! Very good product

Shortly after installing the extender, it began to intermittently fail to connect to my home WIFI. Rebooting and factory resetting did not resolve the issue. I reached out to the seller (Wirelessforce) and within two days, they shipped a replacement to me free of charge. The replacement unit works great, and it arrived just in time for a major fundraising event on my property that would have been severely impacted by a lack of WIFI coverage.

Was surprised how well this worked. Can now get reliable internet to a shop about 109 yards away from house. Very sturdy and well built.

The worst customer support I've ever experienced (non-existent). Amazon was quick to quote the 30 day return policy as well. If considering a product from WAVLINK, pause and do your research, know the return policies.
