Samsung Galaxy S23+ Plus 5G, US Version, 256GB, Phantom Black - Unlocked (Renewed)

My phone arrived undamaged, in perfect condition! I waited to do this review until I had it for a bit to make sure everything worked right. Well....IT'S AMAZING!!! The phone was not damaged in any way. It looked like a brand new phone, right out of the box! Not only that, but it functions flawlessly. I don't use all of the features (and it has a lot of them), mostly because I don't do social media stuff, or take many pictures. However, taking pictures is absolutely amazing! There are sooooo many options: like filters, colors, cropping, picture size, frame size, etc. There's just a ton of them. There is also Biometric features, which I appreciate. I had the S9+ and the fingerprint reader was on the back. If you use the fingerprint feature on this phone, make sure you set a passcode or pin as well. The fingerprint reader is on the screen. It shows as a pop-up. Of course you have to go through the fingerprint set-up first, and can choose more than one finger/thumb. My concern is that if the screen gets damaged where the reader is, the screen probably wouldn't be able to be able to read your print. It does NOT have an iris scanner. This IS a 5G phone, but it can connect to 4G and other networks as well. I believe there might have been a SIM card, but I honestly don't remember. I took the SIM from my other phone and put it in this one, so I didn't need it anyway. I use AT&T pre-paid, and it works fine. Right out of the box. I don't know if it's unlocked to a variety of different network or service providers. My service provider is AT&T, and the phone I got from this seller is also AT&T. My recommendation to anyone considering purchasing this phone, would be to contact the seller, first and ask about supported service providers. If you have AT&T, it's a total win! :) This phone charges super fast, and the battery life is fabulous. For my usage, anyway. You absolutely have to use a fast charging cable, or you'll ruin your phone. I believe it came with a USB cable, but I can't remember if the block was included. Either way, if you need to get a charging block, and/or cable, MAKE SURE they're fast charging!!! I thought the cable it came with was too short for my needs, so I bought a new one on Amazon that is specifically for the S23+...and phones like it. Another recommendation I have is to get an Otterbox. BEFORE you start using the phone. If you drop it, then a lot of money was spent for nothing. The camera lenses on the back protrude. I personally have the Otterbox Defender series, as the case itself prevents the camera lenses from touching any surface when you lay the phone down. It's the same if you lay it face down. The cover prevents the face from touching the surface of anything. I would seriously consider getting a high quality case with this phone, instead of a cheap knock-off. (Not all cases are created equal.) The phone is constructed of metal, not plastic, so it feels very well made. It's not a light phone, but not super heavy, either. At least to me. The phone doesn't come in an original box. At least mine didn't. It came with the phone and charging cable. I can't remember if it came with the little key that opens the SIM slot. If it doesn't, you'll need to get one. It also doesn't come with a manual. Also, unless you get the S23 Ultra, there is no stylus. If that's what you're looking for, the S23+ doesn't have that capability at all. You aren't able to get an S Pen with it, as the S Pen wouldn't function, even if you bought one and tried. I would also like to mention that it's super easy to transfer your data and contacts (and whatever else) to the S23+. I don't have any idea about transferring from an Apple product, though. Samsung is my go-to for phones. As for settings, there are too many to list. There is a specific one for the battery that I would like to mention, however. It makes it so your phone doesn't charge over 80% when fully charged, which is important. The phone won't overcharge that way and end up ruining your battery. As for call settings, there are a lot of those as well. For people that are hard of hearing, there are options for that. If, on the other hand, you'd like to protect your hearing and how loud the phone can get while listening to music or talking on it, you can limit the volume. It has features for the blind, but I don't know what that entails. It also has the car feature, but I don't know anything about that. I don't drive. I hope this review was helpful. :)

I purchased Samsung Galaxy S23 plus excellent refurbished phone from IT Tech out of New York. January 29th 2026. I waited until now to leave a review. (March 8, 2026) I had tried to cancel the order but it had already shipped. When it arrived I immediately requested a return/refund. Amazon said thay would communicate with the seller for a return request. I was thinking this is not going to go well! The seller gave a prompt response and a no questions asked free shipping return for a full refund. What a relief! I didn't even open the box. I struggled with the decision to buy a refurbished phone. What if it's not really unlocked? What if the battery doesn't last, etc. so I thought it was a bad idea and don't open it. Although their return policy was still valid if I had opened it. (They never asked) Long story short, I ended up needing it and took it to Verizon to get it set up, hoping for the best. Verizon confirmed it was everything as advertised. It was unlocked, ligit software, correct updates, etc. It was in excellent condition as advertised. Maybe a couple light scratches where the charger output is but otherwise almost prestine. Screen was perfect. Even Verizon employee was impressed. He kept saying how much did you pay for this?! $350 with tax. Can't beat it! Phone has 100% charge as well! It may not hold a charge as long as it should and does get a little bit hot at times bt I am constantly on it as I do everything on it. Never even touch a computer. This is a very long, scatter brained review, and I will update if something changes but as of now I am quite impressed with this phone and this company, specifically. ** BEST careful reading the reviews as I noticed that the reviews for the phone is not divided by each individual company Amazon is doing business with so I would encourage you to look at the seller and their reviews specifically before purchasing from them. This phone is excellent! I was leary about buying a refurbished phone. There was no cosmetic damage whatsoever. Charges fast, holds the charge, and was very easy to set up on my Straight Talk plan (just needed a SIM card). The only problem I am having (the reason for only 4 stars) is that when I leave my house, the phone goes to "roaming". It doesn't automatically connect to the Verizon towers. I have to turn airplane mode on & off. Then it connects. Otherwise an excellent purchase.

I've waited about four months to post a review, giving me plenty of time to experience the phone. Let me start off by saying I spent HOURS going through different websites and sellers, trying to filter through reviews and the experience of others because... let's be real, who wants to sploof a $350+ purchase? Brand new, I would have never dropped the retail price on this phone. I did extensive delving into the sellers that offered this specific phone, and I ended up going with Soonersoft. I was hesitant, even though it says unlocked, because there are thousands of reviews out there of people having to try to refund their renewed/refurbished purchases because it's not TRULY unlocked. So I messaged the seller and asked for verification that the phone would work with my carrier ( Verizon). They quickly responded, and verified that it was actually a Verizon unlocked phone. Perfect! I put my order in and received my phone a couple of days later. It arrived in a box very much like a brand new phone would. This phone was SPOTLESS. Not a single scratch anywhere on the surface and no discoloration. I had a hiccup during setup where I didn't think it was going to work, but I waited until ALL, and I must stress ALL, of my information was synced and everything was done updating. I used my old SIM card, though this phone offers eSIM, and was able to get it working properly without needing either the seller support ( they included a card with the packaging for such cases ), or Verizon. I've had no wifi or bluetooth connectivity issues, and the fingerprint reader works flawlessly. The camera is a huge step up from my previous 5 year old phone, and the UI is intuitive as I've only ever had Samsung. Literally my ONLY gripe about this phone is actually the Verizon app itself. It'll glitch to the point I often have to completely close and reopen it several times if I want to check my data usage or pay the bill manually. I've uninstalled and reinstalled it, cleared cache and data, and the issue persists. HOWEVER, this is not really a big issue for me personally. I can easily open my account via a chrome tab and work with my info that way. TLDR; Was very skeptical ordering a phone online, did tons of research and found the seller SoonerSoft. Shot them a compatibility question and ordered the phone. Phone was in like new condition and I had no issues after having ALL of my data transferred over. It's been running near flawlessly ( save for my carrier app ) for the past 4 months. I can solidly recommend this seller for renewed electronics. They're also very responsive to questions if you want to verify what carrier it's unlocked from.

​I chose to get the phone with an "acceptable" refurbished rating, and the condition I received far exceeded my expectations. ​When I first opened the package, the phone still had clear protective stickers all over the sides. I don't know if those where there since the phone was 1st opened or if the seller applied them. After peeling them off, the device looked "like new." The only visible flaw is a small scratch on the screen. While I can also notice a few minor marks on the charging port from previous use, I'm not complaining about that, I like the phone. My only concern is that the screen does weird things on rare occasions. I am currently testing the phone and might take it in to check that everything is working correctly, and I will give an update later. There is one drawback: the charger included in the box is only 10 watts, which is equivalent to a regular gas station charger. ​I've had the device for about a week, and it's been working fine. The phone was unlocked for T-Mobile, which is precisely what I expected because I chose that carrier option. ​Please note that this review is specifically for the seller, Hybrid IT, from whom I purchased the phone. I feel lucky because, after watching videos of other phones rated "acceptable" refurbished, the device I received was exceptionally good (at least on the outside for now). If this is the standard quality from Hybrid IT, I'm speechless! I can't even tell if the phone had a broken screen or other damage prior to being refurbished. I recommend the seller; if you need to write them, they answer pretty quickly. ​The video attached was recorded for this review on my old phone, so apologies for the quality. Also, the clear stickers were not on the box like that; I had already been using the device. UPDATE --> It's April now and I had the phone for the last 6 months! It's been working perfect and trust meeeee I use the phone!

The Galaxy S23+ was an impromptu upgrade after I dropped my Galaxy s10e, and it kept disconnecting the carrier sim. This is my first time buying a renewed phone, so I was a bit worried I might end up with a defective phone or one with cosmetic damage, which I can't really stand. 😅 I went for the phone locked to AT&T just in case I ran into any issues. The phone arrived faster than expected. It came in a simple box, and the phone was wrapped in bubble wrap. It came with a usb-c cord for charging and sim tool. I was blown away by the condition of this phone. Phone condition is practically FLAWLESS--only very small, barely noticeable scratches around the charging port. The screen is in stellar condition. Like getting a brand-new phone. The phone was already charged to 67% out of the box. Setup was seamless, and the carrier sim card was recognized without issue. I didn't have to contact AT&T. Wireless data transfer went very smoothly, and I was able to connect to my other Samsung devices (Buds Pro 2, Tablet S8, & s10e). So far, the phone is very responsive. I don't usually pay attention to battery life for any of my Samsung devices, since I usually have chargers or powerbanks on-hand, but the battery life is really good! Lasting all day after intermittent use--from 100% at 8 in the morning to 74% by 5:40 pm. I think I will definitely go this route again in the future. I saved so much money, and it was totally worth the buy.

I'm really impressed with the seller. The phone is renewed but it looks brand new. I was also able to set it up very easily with straight talk and the phone runs great. I would definitively buy from this seller again.

4 stars for price and cosmetic condition. Minus 1 star because phone gets hot and the biometric finger id only works 50% of the time.

Was a bit dubious about buying a refurbished phone but when my Z Flip 6 got the " black screen of death," I was forced to buy another phone. This one was in "excellent" condition and I have to say I was elated when I got it. I don't think it had ever been used. It was immaculate. The phone works great and the battery lasts two days on moderate usage. It was well packaged and came with a charging cable. I would highly recommend this seller as I am very happy with my phone.

Sorry for writing a late product review. This is the second time buying renewed phone from Amazon. To be honest, Samsung 23+ looks like brand new, although, there is a little dent at the bottom edge that is not factor for me and it can go unnoticed. Most important thing battery longevity is excellent. One charge i can use the phone from morning till midnight sometimes next day morning. The picture quality is brilliant and even in the low light you can get a beautiful crisp picture. I will buy a renewed phone from this company again.
