Cholula, Salsa Medium Original, 12 Ounce

Used this for a dip and OMG it was so delicious. I don't think I'm going to try anything new for a while. It was delicious, the ingredients are good. The consistency is not too thick not too watery. Perfect balance in flavor. A little spicy, but not over-powering. Quality salsa.

Easily my favorite salsa. Well blended without the chunks a lot of other salsas come with. Very close to Mexican restaurant style salsa, just a bit thicker. VERY flavorful, can taste all the different elements. Nice heat, enhances the flavor, doesn't just burn for burns sake. Heat lingers for a good while. Have to have this in the house at all times.

This is not what you would probably expect if you eat the competitors brands; it took me a bit coming from eating another brand to trying and liking this one. It to me takes authentic, the way that real Mexican salsa should probably taste - not the sweet sugary stuff. This grows on you. I didn't like it at first but found myself going back for more. I would recommend it for a change or to try something different. I would not give a 5; not a 4 either but it would not let me in-between. I would rate a 4.5 and would probably buy again.

This stuff is spicy and tastes great. (Try it on scrambled eggs - it's really good. I think this is one of the better salsas. My son agrees.

I bought this out of curiosity and because it wasn't too much more than other quality salsas I buy. I'm impressed! I thought it was going to taste just like the hot sauce--it doesn't, which is good, because then there wouldn't be much point to it. It has a nice roasted flavor that is prominent, but not domineering of the flavor. The salsa is thick and chunky, without being watery, and the chunks are small enough that it doesn't overload your chips. The spiciness is a true medium, where some other salsas seem weaker to me. It leaves a little spicy aftertaste, but it dissipates before long. I will be adding this to my tacos and other items, not just eating with chips. The only thing I would improve would be to offer it in a larger jar at a better price-per-ounce. It could be a mainstay if so.

Three stars for flavor and heat. However, it is way too loose and runny. Not thick like Mateo’s. I like a nice scoop of salsa when I dip. Not a wet chip. Still flavorful though, but I’ll stick to my Mateo’s!

I love Cholula hot sauce so when I saw this salsa, I knew i had to try it. I am so glad I did, it taste just like the salsa you get at a Mexican restaurant *texmex* of course. Not authentically Mexican but definitely goes great, packs some good heat, pairs well with thin chips and margaritas.

This is a tasty salsa, but if you use too much, you're not going to categorize it as Medium, it's closer to Hot. I don't mind it, I like the hotter flavor. But those that are sensitive to heat may want to be careful with portions here.
