Authentic Taste
I’ve already repurchased this twice—it’s become a staple for me. I travel to Japan every year, and this tea honestly brings me right back. I always miss drinking it when I’m not there, so having this at home is such a nice way to recreate that experience. The roasted rice flavor is a game changer—it adds a warm, nutty depth that makes the tea incredibly flavorful and comforting, not just your typical green tea. I also think it’s totally worth the price, especially compared to my local Japanese grocery stores, where it tends to be marked up quite a bit. I like the taste and the value.
I ordered the teabags because they come in silk pouches which eliminates paper taste and smell. I like the quality and the taste of the tea. They're not cheap but to me they're worth the price difference.

So i did not expect this to be so good! It's fresh good aroma and smooth. It is a little pale in color but I just want to stretch it out as much as I can and get the best value for my money. So it's a very refreshing drink. 9 out of 10

Misleading Product Photos and Poor Taste
I am an avid genmaicha drinker. I’ve been hooked on it for over a year and I’ve been trying various brands to find the best. This was probably my 6th and by far the least pleasant. The product photos show roasted rice within the tea bags which is how a lot of genmaicha is produced yet the tea bags that arrived to me had zero rice granules. It also tastes lackluster compared to all other brands I’ve tried - almost like a rancid vegetal taste. I love sharing genmaicha with people who have never tried it because of its unique flavor, however I wouldn’t serve this to guests as it doesn’t do the tea type justice.
