Nice safe. Easy to use. Easy to conceal.
The safe is nice. It is a descent size but beware, the key pad/ combination pad on the door does obviously take up some of the space. It works for what we need. Easy to set up. Wasn’t hard to install as long as you know how to cut a hole in the wall properly. I won’t be showing a pic bc it’s a secret. Lol! It’s sturdy, and a little heavy which you would want. It took two of us to put it in the hole but we’re older. I feel it’s a great value and worth buying.

Good wall safe
Easy to install. Works great for smaller items you may want to get to more often but keep hidden. The user manual was missing reached out to customer service and they sent it over less than 24 hours later. Seems to be well built.

Could stand to be packed better. Would prefer more flange. Easy to set up.
Arrived dinged up in two spots. Spring on mag-bolt is shot so it unlocks and won't lock again. Scavenged the bolt from my prior safe to get it functional. Otherwise it came with good mounting hardware and functions well. The flange around the edge is about 1/2" which is half what my prior safe had, so be precise on your cut if you don't want any gaps showing or have to mud/caulk after install.

Perfect Little Safe
So far so good. I'm 63yo female and was able to install this myself. Needed a stud finder, drill and bits bigger than I thought I'd need, a stubby short Phillips head screw driver to remove the shelves, a level, painters tape, sawzall, measuring multiple times and a whole lot of stubbornness in me to not give up. Check what's on the other side of the wall. Mine was next to a bathroom. I knew about the light switches hence measurements multiple times. I'm one that barely has pictures hanging because I don't want to put a hole in the wall. For me to cut a 17" x 15" hole is huge. The first picture makes it look crooked. Trust me it is not, its the angle. I first cut a hole big enough to see inside. Good thing I did since there was wires stapled to the stud. I was able to move those enough to place my anchor screws. The instructions tell you to tap the wall with a hammer to find the studs LOL.. that's cute.

Great little safe
Great safe, fit inside studs, needs a few extra things. My hubby installed it in an hour. The safe itself has plenty of room for money, small items and some jewelry. Not a gun safe though.

Does exactly what i need it to
Very heavy duty wall safe. You can silence the key function but it isn’t loud at all. Has enough space for what we need it for and very easy to operate. With the money to me.

Good product and great customer support
We bought this safe in June 2023. The DIY installation was straightforward, and the safe provided the storage we needed and operated reliably. Then in November 2025, the electronic keypad and indicator lights stopped working at all. Using the back-up key, I replaced the batteries, but the safe remained completely unresponsive. After several email exchanges over 3 days with customer service, they offered to send a new control panel circuit board with DIY replacement instructions at no cost. The safe is now back to normal operation. Good product and great customer support!

Seller Engagement to fix issues nonexistent
I purchased the Avalanche 25.6" Fireproof Wall Safe with the expectation that installation would be straightforward and the product would function as advertised. In terms of construction and design, the safe itself appears solid and fits well between standard wall studs. Unfortunately, that is where the positive experience ends. My safe arrived without the required backup key, which is the only way to open the safe if the electronic keypad has no power. Because the keypad requires batteries, there is literally no way to access the safe at all without that physical key. This means that despite the safe being brand new, fully installed, and otherwise functional, it is completely unusable. What has been most disappointing is the lack of meaningful customer support. I attempted to resolve this through Amazon’s automated assistance system, but it offered no path to request a replacement key—only a full product return. Returning the entire safe is not a realistic option, as it is already permanently installed inside the wall. At this point, my only alternative is to hire a locksmith at an estimated cost of $150, just to gain access to a safe I have never even been able to open. It should not be this difficult to obtain a replacement key for a brand‑new product. I am simply asking the seller to engage, acknowledge the issue, and provide the missing key so that the safe can be used as intended. The lack of responsiveness leaves me extremely frustrated and disappointed. I would caution other buyers: If you expect reliable customer support or assistance with missing components, this may not be the right safe for you. The product may be well-made, but it is effectively useless without the key, and resolving even simple issues appears to be unreasonably difficult.

Good product for the price
This safe arrived quickly and was well wrapped with corner protections. It was easy to install even though there is no instructions and I've even dismantled the mechanism to and evaluated that it is sturdy enough to keep honest thieves away. Some cheap safes for about the same price do have pins of plastic and can be unlocked just by rocking them, this one doesn't as all parts are metal, albeit not completely unbreakable. It also fits nicely in the wall barely protruding at all, no more than 3/8 of an inch, so concealing behind pictures or furniture is very easy. Programming a code is very easy and the provided key works just fine in case you loose your code. Make sure you're precise with your drywall cuts as the lip is only 3/8 inch and won't cover much over the opening. Sure, the metal door could be thicker and the locking pins could be more in the center to reduce any prying at the corners, but for the price, I think it's hard to beat. It does fit nicely between studs and I took the liberty to wrap it in a fireproof blanket to increase it's fire rating (comes with none), although it's surely nowhere near officially rated safes. With a 5/16 blanket around, it fits really snugly between the studs. Three main critics for this model: 1) the locking mechanism takes a lot of space on the inside, so you can't put anything bulky on the second shelf, 2) the shelves are pretty flimsy and will bend under even 30 ounces of weight, they also appear to be slightly crooked and not perfectly leveled and 3) the hidden stash at bottom is pretty useless, very shallow and as soon as you put something remotely heavier than papers on the lid, it pops open canceling the purpose of hidden storage and reducing the amount of heavy stuff you can put in the safe even further. But for the price, I think this is a reasonable product to keep your precious things away from loose hands.

Emergency key doesn't work
I was initially very happy. The safe installation wasn't too complicated, a small amount of DIY to cut a hole in the plasterboard, screw the safe to the studs and tidy up. BUT - I didn't have any batteries to hand when I first fitted it. So I was just using the emergency key, maybe a dozen times. I finally get myself the right batteries but the key no longer opens the door!! I'm locked out. Not happy!

Decent safe but lots of quirks to be aware of.
Just arrived and easy install. Pros: Easy install, easy set up, sturdy, removable shelves. Good structure to the frame and shelves. Things to consider: Even though shelves are removable they are not adjustable so it’s shelf or not. The “hidden compartment” can’t add anything bulky, maybe a few rings or jewelry but even a key under it exposes the latch and will not close. Middle shelf is pretty much useless as the locking mechanism takes up most of the depth so 1/3 of the safe is limited space. It does stick out of the wall by 1/4” of an inch so if you want it flush you’ll not be able to with this safe. Locks aren’t perfect, the knob to turn the lock is plastic and does feel a bit cheap. Cons: “Fits between 16” studs, doesn’t mean the safe is 16” wide. It’s actually 14” wide so you need to add a brace to keep the safe steady or just lag bolt on 1 side. The key holder on the door doesn’t really hold keys. Any car key/long key or bulky keys will catch on the shelf so the door doesn’t close. Wish the key hooks were in the back wall.
