I figured I would try it because the reviews are positive and the price is pretty good. I am pleasantly surprised ! I have the light laser combo on my a.r and its awesome great features and performance. So the only small thing it wouldn't hold zero and I found the m lok had play in it. I had to replace the t nuts and screws with Magpul hardware, after that it's solid as a rock. I also have the pmd504 and its awesome. I lost the dust cover so I reached out to votatu they sent me a new one no questions asked. They even sent me a free gift a free gift! As far as made in China goes.... quality and service far exceeds the price. Highly recommended.

I would like to see Votatu make a version of this with a solar backup and a companion version for the RMSc foot print but I am beyond satisfied with the current iteration.

The VOTATU PMD504 Red Dot Sight Exceeded my expectations for a micro red dot at its price range. Straight out of the box, the micro red dot boasts an RMR footprint and comes with a picatinny rail adapter for your various mounting needs. An optic cover is also provided. Additionally, the optic has 3 different reticle modes, a 2 MOA dot, a 62 MOA circle, and a 62 MOA circle with a 2 MOA dot. The optic has 10 levels of brightness for a full range of use either day or night, indoor or outdoor. I mounted the optic to a 13.5in AR-15 with a riser and zeroed at 25 meters with the combination reticle setting. I was getting Nickel size 3-round groupings with a sitting-supported stance. The reticle was very clear and I had no issue focusing on the dot even with an astigmatism with my dominant shooting eye. After several hundred rounds, and being bumped around while on the rifle, the optic still held its zero. The battery compartment is a sliding tray that holds the CR1632 battery. After vigorously shaking the optic, the battery tray held firm and was at no risk of accidently losing the battery. The glass does have a slight blueish tint but its not really noticeable unless you are looking for it. The only issue I had with the optic was that the brightness could use a couple more levels in between its lower settings, however, this is by no means a deal breaker as the optic is still fully functional at all light levels, and is more me trying to find something to nitpick. The VOTATU PMD504 holds up extremely well as an entry level micro red dot and even surpasses some other optics of a similar caliber, mainly due to its excellent performance and range of features all while maintaining a very reasonable price.

I cannot fully express how pleased I am with this red dot sight. I have slight astigmatism so Ive struggled with red dot sights that blur the dot to my vision. What I typically see is a "burst" of the dot to the right side. Ive tried some rather expensive sights hoping for a better result and been almost universally disappointed. After reading the reviews for this one, I decided to give it a try considering the reasonable price. I have to say that I was shocked at how clear and undistorted the reticle is to my eyes- even without my astigmatism correcting glasses. This sight also offers 3 different reticles and for me, the circle-dot works perfectly. Maybe the best recommendation I can give is the fact that I bought a second one! For the price (or any price), I dont think it can be beat!

I had hiven this product 5 stars for the following reason. I'm a retired law enforcement officer who works now as private security. I purchased this red dot to be installed in my duty firearm. I installed the red dot and tested the entire system ( firearm, ammunition, sights, magazines, and red dot). After my initial test (300 rounds), I inspected the firearm and placed it in a case which includes enough space for a large red dot. I didn't notice then any issues with the On/Off rubber pad. I noticed yesterday June 25th that the pad was out of the frame. I was not able to get the pad back in place. It seems it had expanded and not fitting the frame. The only thing I can think of is that firearms get hot causing the pad to expand. I contacted Amazon knowing that my 30 days return window had expired. The Amazon associate helped me contact Votatu Outdoors. In less than 24 hours they replaced the unit for a new one. This is amazing customer service. I received the message June 26th 2025. Once I received the new unt, I installed it with ease on a Ruger RXM with the screws that came with the red dot. I didn't have any issues especially with the notoriously difficult right screw on the right side of the mount of the RXM. The unit performed great during testing. It didn't moved, lose zero, neither it flickered during the fire cycle. The shake awake, britnes, reticles and the rest of the features performed as intended. My problem now is that just over a year and the rubber control pad is out of the frame again in the same way it looks in the pictures. I figure that during use I have grabbed the control pad displacing it. For that reason I'm not only blaming the manufacturer. I'm including me in the mix since I use the firearm in realistic rough duty practice. I really wanted this unit to do well. I had so much hope I purchased a second one in green for another pistol. Unfortunately this control pad is too fragile for realistic duty use. Therefore. I cannot recommend this unit for duty or security use. I hope Votatu takes notice of this and fixes the problem. As for the unit, I replaced it with another brand.

I have been wanting one of these and when I found this one I was impressed with the features offered at this price point. It comes with a base to interface with a Picatinny rail which is a plus for my intended application. Removing that adapter leaves you with the popular RMR style base; the same system that Trijicon uses. The intended use is, of course, for a pistol sighting system. That means Long-Eye-Relief. (LER) Hmmm . . . I've been needing a sight for my Scout Rifle which uses the forward mounted (LER) sight. BINGO! The Picatinny mount makes this a natural on this rifle. The choice of three reticles is a plus for me in different lighting scenarios. Oh, yah, lighting . . . This is adjustable, naturally, and I have the say; the bright setting is BRIGHT! No problem in daylight. I need to reduce it most of the time. After I got this red dot dialed in I had a great quick acquisition sighting system and couldn't be happier. Nice bonus in that it comes with a spare battery. :^)

Its a decent optic for the price. Only downfall for me is the optic did not stay zeroed on my M1014 shotgun. After 20 rounds of buckshot the reticle shifted to the right. Im sure its great for handguns or rifles. But shotguns. No 👎

I purchased this sight after trying a cheaper $90 model from another brand which had a large flare coming off the dot. The dot on this sight is much better, very crisp with no bleed or flare into the surrounding window. Bright enough even for sunny days. The circle and ring makes finding the dot very easy. Material quality is excellent and is optically very good as well, with a clear picture and no parallax to speak of at 10-25m. It is extremely accurate, the adjustments track properly and it holds zero through day to day handling. I can't really speak to heavy recoil handling as it is mounted on a PCP pistol. Overall I'm very pleased with this sight.

Tried many different rmrs and this one works the best, great option of reticle, very light, has held zero for 7.62x39 rounds after 150 rounds

It’s nice but I was looking for a green lens, the picture on the ad looks green but it is definitely red.. oh well I guess, just a bit misleading. I’m sure it’s a great red dot otherwise

So far I’m very happy with this red dot. I needed a bolt on style and this one fit perfectly. The included screws came in handy to bolt to my adapter plate as well. I didn’t have any trouble sighting it in either. Great value for the price.

Works great on my .22. was sceptical, but it holds zero, battery lasts forever, and it's fairly durable. I just wouldn't hit it too hard.
