This item was purchased to replace a cord that went bad. It does the job perfectly, powering up the computer quickly. The segment of the cord that goes from the power adapter to the computer seems sturdier than the same part of the original cord, which gives peace of mind that as a third party item it will not fall apart quickly. The magnetic end of the cord fits perfectly into the computer without being so loose it comes out when the computer is moved slightly or so tight a person risks damaging the cord or the computer when pulling it out. Considering that that attachment of the computer cord to the computer often becomes loose, making it impossible to charge the computer, this secure, but not overly tight, attachment gives peace of mind. I feel confident that this cord is durable and will last as long, if not longer, than the previous cord. The price is midrange for this type of product, but the combined quality and length of the cord (just under 9 ft.), makes the price seem appropriate and worth the few extra dollars it costs compared to the lowest cost cords for the computer. It was purchased for the Microsoft Surface Pro The connections are all solid. the cord seems sturdy and should last a long time, and the speed of charging is fast: everything a person could want in a charger/cord combo. I would happily purchase this charger and cord again (but hope I do not have to - unless my husband's next computer is from the same computer family.)

It's definitely a charger, it charges my computer and I've never had an issue so works pretty well!

I primarily got it for the dongle, but the charging brick does work. My only comment if I could, is that I think the charging brick should be shrunken size a little bit because it spreads over other outlets if you're doing it lengthwise.
