Dyson Airstrait™ dries and straightens simultaneously from wet to dry. Engineered to create a natural straight finish for multiple hair types. No hot plates. No heat damage.¹ Your routine, simplified. ¹When used in wet to dry mode. ²When used in wet to dry mode vs. hot plate straighteners which operate with extreme heat. ³When used in wet to dry mode vs. unstyled, untreated hair. Review: A total game changer for my wife's morning routine! - I got this for my wife to help with her hair for work, and it’s incredible. The fact that it goes from wet to dry with no hot plates means her hair stays healthy and doesn't get that "burnt" smell you get with traditional straighteners. It’s very fast and gives her a professional, sleek look in a fraction of the time it used to take with a blow dryer and a flat iron. It’s expensive, but when you consider the time saved and the lack of heat damage, it’s worth every penny. Review: Total Game Changer - Salon Results in 1/2 the Time - This product is a game-changer for my fine, thin hair. I have long hair, prone to humidity and breakage, and it will not hold curls from curling irons. Regular straighteners tend to make it damaged from heat and stringy, and then greasy the next day. First blowing it truly, then straightening it, or doing a full blowout with the BondiBoost hair dryer brush for best results. The Dyson Air Straight is lighter than the BondiBoost Brush Blowdryer, leaves my hair shiny and soft, with a natural salon finish. I can dry and straighten my hair all at once, maintaining volume, no heat damage, and it accomplishes a great style within 30 minutes. That said, there is a learning curve. I find the machine is heavy (I have Lupus and Rheumatoid Arthritis), but lighter than most tools out there. It is bulky, and straightening from wet to dry is sometimes awkward getting my arm in the right position for the downward flow of the the air on the back of my hair, as well as switching from/to dominant arm's side. I like the fact that though bulky, the Air Straight has a wide coverage, so you can fit more of your weft into the tool, saving time. It was intimidating at first with all the instructions, but I quickly got used to the cool shot first at roots, then wet to dry, then cool shot to set the style. My only complaint aside from the weight and wieldability, is that it is difficult to get the roots. That may be on purpose in the design. I am glad I bought this instead of the Dyson hair dryer, and when it restocks, I plan to get the newest version of the Curling tool, which is lighter weight than the Air Wrap, and has a dryer attachment, as well as a round brush attachment. If you want salon results, and straighten your hair often, buy the Air Straight. You won't regret it, even at the high price. Don't buy the Dyson styling products, however. They are not worth the price, and I got better results with regular products.

Expensive but worth two in one hair tool
This is literally the greatest hair tool ever invented! I have very thick long course hair. It tends to frizz in any humidity. I would spend hours drying then straightening my hair only to have it frizz 10 minutes later. It also was very damaging to my hair to use all that direct heat. This tool straightens and drives at the same time! How amazing is that. And, it really works. It has saved me a ton of time and also is so much healthier for my hair. There is a learning curve when you first get it and it takes a little practice, but, once you get the hang of it, you will be so happy that you spent the money on this.

Love
This works so well and saves me so much time postpartum. I have wavy blonde hair and have not noticed any damage with frequent use. The roots are a bit hard to get straight, but it is much easier to do when the hair is wet than dry. The dry boost is great for touch ups the next day.

Recommended, especially with Dyson’s return/exchange policy
This is my second Dyson Airstrait, and overall I really like how thoughtfully designed it is. Pros: • Smart auto shut-off when not in use and turns back on when you pick it up. • Self-cleaning feature is a big plus and keeps maintenance minimal. • Comes with a heat-resistant mat, which is very convenient for bathroom counters. • Straightens while drying, saving time and reducing heat exposure. • Feels premium and well-balanced in hand. Cons: • My first unit stopped working after the first use. After some research, I found this can be related to a fuse issue and seems to be a known problem for some users. • I reordered the same model, and the replacement works perfectly so far with no issues. I'm giving it a 4 because the first one doesn't work.

Best Hair Tool EVER!!
They’re just are not enough words or time to convey how exceptional this hair dry/straightening tool is. It takes a little bit at first to get used to handling it as it’s somewhat awkward, compared to a straightening iron and a little more bulky after that, though it is literally smooth sailing!! Dries his hair fairly quickly and beautifully consistently comes out beautiful every time, and I can’t even sleep on it without needing to do any kind of touchup in the morning I wish this thing had been around when I was in high school spending more hours than I care to remember styling my hair every single day!

Game changing hair tool for cowlicks!
I was hesitant to buy this because it is expensive. However, I do not regret it at all. It has been a game changer for my hair! I have many cowlicks at the front and are also baby hairs. They have always been difficult to style. This tool has helped so much. It smooths out the cowlicks and the style stays all day. When I first got it I thought I had to write to Dyson because I couldn't see any plates on the straightener. After watching more tutorials I learned that there are no true plates. The flat parts of the straightener do not get hot themselves. The tool smooths and directs hot hair down the shaft of the hair (very important you use the correct direction with air moving down and not up). I've gotten so many compliments on my hair since I've started using this. Definitely worth the price!

Great Tool for Styling
I have naturally wavy hair and my texture is pretty coarse so it takes a couple of passes & high heat for my hair to get the way I want it. With the airstrait, I love that I can use it as a hair dryer with a round brush and to straighten my hair. I don't want my hair to lay flat so I'll go in with a rollers to give it some bounce. My hair is down to my lower back and it takes about 30 minutes to rough dry and smooth out.

Bien

Another awesome tool from Dyson
Let me start by saying, I would have never bought this directly from Dyson. Their customer service is horrendous. I’ve bought the blowdryer, and the wand and they accidentally sent and charged me two and to get my money back was a nightmare. THAT being said, I’m glad to have found it here! It was also on sale which is a bonus! (And the colour is cute). It takes a bit of getting use to, the weight doesn’t bother me (who doesn’t like a good workout). I like how fast it is, no need to blow dry. You can use it on wet or dry hair. I love that it isn’t as damaging as most straighteners (fyi I have curly hair). Pro tip: close it while it euns and use the blow dry option first with a round brush to obtain volume at your roots and then do the straightening. I use it on my ten year old daughters hair too and I feel more confident using this instead of ceramic plated straighteners that are too hot and damaging. Take the splurge…but buy it here.
