A good contender with lots of potential
Gel blasting is one of those niche things that's slowly starting to build up steam as more and more people begin to realize that these aren't the simple, rinky dink child's toys that they used to be. The Faction series is a good step in the right direction in getting people more invested in the hobby. Not only does Havok meet the baseline for entry level competitive gel ball primaries, but the app functionality and beacon system have a LOT of potential to expand and make the hobby worthwhile. Havok itself has a good fire rate, great ammo capacity and decent enough range/projectile speed to keep up with other, similarly priced blasters, like Splatterball SRB1200 or the CosmoxToys Sirius, but also has a built in UV tracer light, allowing you to utilize Glow in the dark ammo without needing to invest into a potentially expensive tracer unit and then modify the blaster to use it. That alone makes it worth it's pricetag, but the included beacon and it's supporting app give it added functionality that has the potential to improve later on. While it's disappointing that the app is currently still in development and all but one gamemode is locked, so long as they deliver on their promise it shouldn't be too much of a problem, especially if they continue to release supported blasters/equipment after the deadline. The only drawback is many people have already invested in gel blasters, some of which being incredibly powerful or expensive. Having to buy a blaster just to use the app can feel redundant if you already have something similar lying around. This is a great first blaster if you're looking for a reliable primary and dont want to also have to buy a tracer unit for glowing gel rounds. My only complaint is it's accuracy falls off rather quickly, with the spread becoming apparent in as few as a couple meters out the barrel. Gel guns aren't known for their accuracy, but even knowing that the spread is notably higher. Thankfully, the massive magazine capacity will allow you to more than compensate. Use 3rd party gels for best results.

You gotta use your head!
My title says it all. For starters, I saw a lot of reviews complaining that these guns don’t work. Well, you have to think about this for a minute, and I know some people lack the skill called “critical thinking” so I’ll explain. Sometimes things slip past quality control, or get damaged during shipping, or a company just finds it isn’t cost effective to even have a quality control system in the first place because they’re just mass produced plastic toys. Use your head, and the Amazon return policy and request an exchange until you get one that works! Use eye protection guys, that’s “Use your head number 1”, but you can’t begin there if your gun don’t work, so… Third “Use your head” I can’t blame anyone for and I made this mistake myself. Use an adequate charger! I tried to use one of those small Apple wall plugs that come with an iPhone to power the USB charger and the gun threw a tantrum! It would not charge, but the lights could have caused a seizure for anyone with epilepsy, which is how I know you need a better plug to charge this big bad boy Now 4th is important, and that’s to drain the gellets really good before you put them in the clip, you don’t want to ruin the electric motor in there, and water can and will do that. Now, I believe this is the best gel firing gun, and I have tried gelblaster, and a couple other brands just to be sure I was right. One of the important factors for me deciding was the ability to shoot the gun from most angles including straight up. The reason is pests. That’s right! Squirrels and Birds that are bothering you, will make themselves scarce at even the sound of this baby once they’ve learned! lol

a blast!
just got it week ago, tried it out today... this thing is FUN! built sturdy, huge ammo capacity, easy to use. instructions not 100% so heres how, took a few hours to fully charge the gun so i soaked the gel beads during charging time.. although i soaked them a little longer (they say 4 to 6 hours).. i did 5 hours they were perfectly fine. once the gun is charged you need to download the app, turn the gun on and connect to "unlock" the gun.. only takes a cpl minutes and super easy. once unlocked, youre ready to go..does have a cheap picatinney style rail on top and bottom... not sure exactly what will work but i can still try. a word on firepower.. has saftey, semi, 3 shot burts and full auto.. (selector not exactly lined up but easy to figure out), as said before, huge ammo capacity, not excarly sure how fast but pretty fast rate of fire, when 1st starting, you will have to fire the gun a few times for beads to feed up into the gun. had no jams, tried in my basement and was fairly accurate and were hitting hard... so use eye protection. when empty, you will need to turn the gun upside down to get any remaining beads to feed. dont leave beads in mag when not using and dbl check to make sure mag and gun are clear as the beads can dry up and cause jamming. sights are... eh... ok, they do the job. came with a reactive target but i didnt try it yet and there are a few things on the app as well. gun fired flawlessly through all 3 firing modes on a full mag. i read some say it jams and breaks beads, my guess is they werent soaked long enough or too long, just follow the directions, give them 4 to 5 hours and they will be fine. all in all, is worth every penny... may even buy a second one!

Disappointed. Faulty battery 😭
I had purchased this for my son as a Christmas present and when I found out about the issue it was past the point of returning. From my son: The rifle seemingly worked well for 3 months until the battery stopped holding a charge. It was then that I realized that the gun never actually indicated when it was fully charged in the first place. The box said that it could get off 9000 shots per charge but I never once got close to 3000. I really wanted to like the gun but once my friend told me that his cousin’s gun stopped working early on as well, I figured it was only a matter of time.
