BlueSwan for MacBook Pro 16 inch Case M5-M1 Anti-Crack Frame, Frosted Black

So I wanted a case for my MacBook Pro 13. Had it a year and not bothered with a case, yet every time I used it I would get finger prints all over the top opening the screen and then carefully put it back under my ‘dad’ shelf away from the kids. Time to get it protected more and stop worrying. I looked at the excellent UAG Pylo case but it’s £60+ and bulky and the Tech 21 Tinted case looked good but £50+. All look great but £50+. What about Spigens grey Cloth hard case, great reviews but it covers up the MacBook too much. So what next? Cheap cases are solid and they crack and the clips break, not this one! It’s TPU on the edges and has a sort of captive clip that pops on without force. The black looks great and I will admit I was worried that the clear would look cheap. But no! It feel good, it’s a perfect fit of the M1 and it looks like it just all lines up. Time of course will tell if this £15 bargain, discolours or breaks, or gets loose etc. but after just one day, initial thoughts are: Please don’t stop making this. It’s great. I think the issue is that you think it’s another generic Amazon brand and it will be so so. Trust me it’s as good as any Spigen or Belkin or Otterbox. It’s not tight either so there is no pressure on the frame or screen. In fact the only slight criticism is that the side clips on the base move if you lean on them and one day they may break. But lets worry about that later. Cheers all. Hope this helps. PS. When you install the top, ignore the instructions and make sure the top centre clip is at the top as it fits perfectly in the recess of the base.

This is a great way to protect my laptop. It allows the beauty of my rose gold MacBook to still shine. I bought a frosted clear cover. I the bezel is so minimal that the lovely macbook keyboard and surround is not impinged upon but it still clicks on well and is secure.

I ordered this with next-day delivery and it arrived on 24 March exactly as expected. I've been using it for a few months now and I'm really happy with it. It fits my MacBook perfectly and provides great protection without adding unnecessary bulk. The padding gives extra peace of mind, the closure feels secure. Overall, it's excellent quality and I'd definitely recommend it.

I have always used protective cases for my laptops. I recently bought a new Macbook Pro 14 inch M5, after destroying my old one; totally my fault. Since I am not very careful with these things, and this is an expensive machine, I decided to get a case for this new one too, although hard-shell snap-on cases are generally not recommended for a MacBook Pro. They can trap dust and grit that scratch the aluminum body, add extra weight that weakens the display hinge over time, and trap heat which may cause the computer to run warmer. The BlueSwan Anti-crack frame was recomended to me because it delivers a precise fit my MacBook while resolving the structural flaws common to standard hardshell cases. Traditional plastic shells are brittle, notoriously prone to cracking at the corners upon minor impacts, and can scratch the laptop’s finish during installation. This case uses a hybrid design with soft, flexible TPU edges which stop the case from splitting or cracking when putting it on or taking it off. The main body uses hard plastic. It shields a laptop from daily bumps and scratches. The clips that hold the laptop tight (without scratching the metal finish), ensure a safe fit and the matte texture of the plasctic provides a better grip when carrying the laptop. The case also has cutouts for cooling and ports, that perfectly match Airflow vents for the laptop fans which helps keep the device cool during heavy tasks, and all USB and charging slots stay fully open, so there is no need to remove the case to plug in cables. Since using it I haven't noticed my laptop getting warmer at all. Having had it on for about a week now, I think it is a fairly good quality case, providing excellent fit and good protection for Macbook Pro 14 inch. It was wasy to install and looks OK, not too bulky. There is one issue with it, however, which I think I need to point out. According to product desciption "The frosted surface of the case is non-stick for fingerprints and easy to clean". Unfortunately, this has not been my experience. I bought the black colour to match my black Macbook, and I can honestly say that I never before had a laptop case that was so prone to fingertips smudging (not easy to clean) and needed to be cleaned all the time. (smudges visible on the photo I uploaded). Maybe, this is because it is black, maybe the other colours are not as sensitive. Eventually, I added some stickers on top of the hard-shell to stop it from looking messy. As for the price, I think it's fair, not too cheap but not expensive either. Ultimatley, I think this case provides a good protection and I might consider repurchasing it in future, if needed, although I would definitely try a different colour. I'm not definitely recommending this case, but I do think it is worth considering.

I broused amazon and read many reviews including what people hadn't written as well as what they had. The case is made of two seperate matterials, a hard plastic body with a more rubberised edge around all four sides which elliminater the chance of cracking if dropped or installed with too much pressure. The installation is a tiny bt harder as you have to gently manipulte the rubber on th final crner as the rubber stretches by a fraction so as to remain snug. This however is a good thing as it makes a much more secure fit as well as more of an impact resistance. Some may find the main plastic body a little rough to the touch, almost a mottled or rough matt finish, but this means no fingerprints and if it is an issue to you it can always be wrapped with some vinyl wrap, which not only enhances the feel, but may be from my perspective more pleasing to the eye, personal choice. In short, easy enough to install, good protection from miner dings and scratches, doesn't impede the opening angles as other makes do, won't crack or fracture when being applied. The only thing that to other may offer more is a leather or rubberised type fininsh, but again personal preference. As for the price......why would anyone even consider spending approximately 1% (approx) to protect ther £1000 laptop.... so A+ 100% recomended....(plus its Amazon.....so quality and money back if not satisfied) No brainer.

No hard feelings. Good but didnt fit. A mismatch. Returning.

Updated Review: I re-ordered the Frosted Black version. This time it was perfect, just fit perfectly. I guess I received a defective product before. Original review: The case itself is good but it is very difficult to install and remove. The video showing how to install is barebones, doesn't show step by step process. My friends have hard shell cases and they're so so easy to clip on to the MacBook. With great panic and fear I somehow installed it on my brand new 14 inch MacBook M4 pro that arrived an hour ago. After a day, I tried taking it off just to see how it feels, again I had to be very careful as to not damage the screen. Then I tried again to put it back on and I just couldn't bring myself to press against the screen. I am returning it and going for a hard case.
