Janome Loft 100 Computerized Sewing Machine with 100 Stitches and Built-In Needle Threader

This machine is replacing my basic $100 Brother machine that I have outgrown. After what seemed like an eternity of review and product research reading I came upon this Janome Loft 100. I've been using it for garment construction for about 4 months now an it is incredible! Fantastic stitch quality, adjustability, and very user friendly. The machine has maintained build quality over the years where brands such as Singer have sadly sold out to lesser quality producers. The quality and beauty of this machine is testament to the quality of the Janome brand. It was very easy to transition between machines. Huge increase in stitch choices. Super easy to thread with auto threader(have some tweezers handy to grab the little loop though!) Came with a white vinyl machine cover(nothing fancy, but functional for dust defense). Lots of accessories (front compartment on machine can be a bit fiddly, so I just use a pouch for parts storage). Supports double knit needles. Comes with stitch guide card, feed dog cover plate, and super simple yet informative manual. So very happy with this purchase! I am now a huge Janome fan!

Love this machine! I haven't used a sewing machine in a few decades and purchased a cheap Brother machine from Wal-Mart and had lots of problems and got really discouraged. I then got a gift card for Christmas and decided to try a machine that was a little pricier. Wow what a difference!! I have been using it regularly for about 4 months and have had no problems. Most of my projects have been with repurposed denim. It's just the right combination of simple and computerized to make it easy, not too complicated, and a joy to use. It's done everything I've asked of it.

My Brother sewing machine died, and o wanted to upgrade to a better brand but didn’t have the budget for anything super fancy. Found this machine and it seemed to fit the bill. Function-wise, it’s about the same as my Brother was, but it sews much more smoothly and just overall I can feel that it is higher quality. I haven’t tried rhe button hole function so I can’t comment on that. It’s pretty quiet. The only major complaint that I have is the way the storage compartment is designed. My Brother machine had a compartment in front that folded open. This one is only accessed when you remove the extended tray for free arm access. And of course when you remove it, it pops off and everything falls out of the storage area. So I don’t even use it because it’s pointless. But that is not worth removing a star in my opinion, because a storage compartment is just a bonus feature.

It almost like a Singer. But netter and stronger. Sews denim with ease.

Just right for basics.

Love it! Easy to use and sturdy. Great value for the price. I had considered some cheaper models but had to return them due to flimsy build. This compares to my old Kenmore machine.

Fabulous machine! I am 72 years old and have seen on many machines . My first machine was a Kenmore that I bought when I was 20 for $189 which was a lot of money. But it was quality and lasted a good thirty years. This Janome is perfect. I love that you can set the speed, and that it will “lock” the stitches for you without using reverse . I would say that if anyone is Serious about sewing and is even a beginner, this is the machine to get! Smooth and Quiet! Beautiful stitches! I am using it for quilting , and it has no trouble going through batting ,

I've owned many different machines over the years. From antiques to computerized wonders and so far, this machine has met all my quilting expectations. I have yet to freestyle so when I do, I'll add that to this review. Very happy.
