Yes. The stand can come off and you can attach it to a vesa mount

My gts-450 graphics card only has 2 dvi outputs. i want to buy two of these to run dual monitors. do i need a new graphics card or will adapters work?

Technically, the DVI outputs will work with the P2418D monitor with an appropriate adaptor. An issue though is that the P2418D is a 2.7k (2560 x 1440) resolution, and my understanding is that unless the DVI port, cable, and so on are what's called "dual-link," it will only carry a 1920 x 1080 (HD) signal. Here's a brief article that speaks to that: https://www.howtogeek.com/howto/32524/whats-the-difference-between-hdmi-and-dvi-which-is-better/ My thought would be to buy the monitors and a couple of adaptors for your cables to HDMI and give it a try. If it works with 2560 x 1440, then great. If not, you could then consider a new video card; hopefully one with two display port outputs. I recently bought two of these monitors and have them running on two computers, each with a similar Dell monitor that only displays 1920 x 1080. While both monitors are really, really good, the P2418D, with its higher resolution, is substantially better. I don't do games, so I can't report on that side of it. I use Lightroom, Photoshop, and edit videos in Davinci Resolve.

Is this Edgelit or Backlit? The dell website has it as both edge and back lit in different pages,but the manual says edgelit

The white and black fields are not too uniform, so it's edgelit I suppose.
