First of all the packaging was the best. They placed the wood pieces on the top and bottom to protect the Plexiglas. These cases aren't light and I was surprised by the weight of each box (glad they weren't packaged together -bought 2) when I retrieved them from my front gate. Pros: The wood is like a professional butcher block board and honestly I could have gotten away with the 1 inch base with 1 inch top because it was sturdy enough for my dolls (heavy). These cases are superior to the cases that I purchased with the other dolls inside while visiting Japan. I didn't have any gaps in the corner seams and I did it by myself using masking tape to hold each corner together as I went along about 2/3 of the way up. If you happen to break off the lip of the Plexiglas that's made to fit into the routered groove in the wood your going to have a gap in the case along the sides. None of this case is flimsy and on one base board there were some minor wood surface flaws but for what I used it for the doll base itself covered it. If I would have gotten the 1 inch base and the 1 inch top I probably could have flipped it. Cons: For those having a hard time putting the 4 Plexiglas pieces together before placing the top on maybe annotate using tape in the directions. Otherwise it would take 2 people to safely assemble. Plexiglas scratches easily once you remove the protective sheet. Mine had a 2 inch scratch but I also know these light scratches can be buffed out if done correctly so I didn't return it. Maybe include directions for care/maintenance of your product. A damp Microfiber cloth is better at not leaving scratches than a paper towel. These cases are not cheaply priced by any reason but the quality to me was worth the price. My final con, I included a beautiful antique Japanese doll with a horse pic and I wanted to order a 3rd case if this fit but it's too tight. The next size up is 6 inches taller. My shelf to ceiling space allows 26 maybe 25 inches and next height up is 27 inches. You couldn't have a height size in between? LOL My only option was 5 inch leeway from top of the doll head and find a different shelf. Or smush it in or somehow shorten the doll base platform. I had hoped to keep the cases identical and on the same shelf. BTW, no comments from the peanut gallery on my hand crafted dolls. They got this beetlejuice vibe to them but they are big, beautifully hand crafted and were also gifted to me. So much so, I was willing to pay $94 for each display case. And yes, I would purchase another display case from this company if my dolls comfortably fit inside. It would also be nice to see some kind of optional kit and placement plug for lighting the inside of these cases because if people are willing to go to all this effort to pay this price to display their possessions it must be that important or special to them.

Simply put, this is worth the price-point, and will look great wherever you put it. Assembly is intuitive (but included instructions anyway) and materials are high-grade, unblemished, display-quality (and heavy-duty). The acrylic is better quality than expected for the price, and the wood base & topper are heavier and more substantial than I could have hoped for. This is a genuine display piece, not a cheapo "replace in a couple of years" disposable garbage-piece. The real natural wood can likely be sanded and stained or oiled to fit existing fixtures/furnishings if needed (just be careful not to modify the openings for the slots, which are what hold the acrylic side panels together), but display beautifully right out of the box. Assembled in minutes. Though NOT required, I would recommend getting some acrylic specialty adhesive (or some discretely placed clear tape) for a little bit of added structural "umf", but honestly, that's just because I overbuild everything--- this is solid and fantastic as-is. Honestly very impressed and pleased. (I paid $50, including S&S, for the 17" x 12" x 12" model, with 1" wood bases. I haven't hit it with a tape measure yet to confirm precision dimensions, but these seem accurate, and it will give me plenty of room for adding some subtle LED lighting for displaying a 14"-h statuette, as intended.) Would absolutely buy again for additional needs.

This is beautiful. a really nice case that doesn't look like the typical plastic case; the sides are't super stable when moving but hey, it's not like I'm carrying it around with me. once it's on the desk, it's there to stay. Easy to assemble. Don't forget to take off the protective plastic coating on each piece of plexiglass.

Really nice display piece. I was looking for something to house my dogs things and make a memoriam and this is perfect. Very clean looking and well built. The panels came nice and scratch free, there was a few blemishes in the top and base wood parts, but I love the piece overall. Thanks.

Great design, easy to assemble and strong. The wood floor and top certainly adds to it stability. The best case I have purchased so far.

Had to do an exchange side slots were not cut long enough so that the plexiglass glass could fit it them. Very disappointing for the amount I paid I expected better quality control.

I've bought around six or seven self assembly acrylic cases from various sellers on Amazon, but this is by far the best quality for the price. For starters, the acrylic pieces are much thicker than any other cases, but still crystal clear. The base and top are also made of real solid wood. Not only does this mean the case is extremely sturdy once assembled, but it also looks very nice. My other cases have acrylic tops and bottoms, which means they fall apart as soon as you try to touch them after they're assembled. The colour of the wood is nicer in person than in the product photos too. I found assembly to be straightforward, with all pieces fitting in securely. I noticed a customer left one star because there were no instructions explaining that they need to peel the protective plastic off the plexiglass prior to assembly? ALL plexiglass products come with frosted plastic on each side to protect them from scratching during shipment. No one should need instructions to explain that.

It fit together fairly simple like... I bought it for a kachina doll I inherited and it looks amazing... It is the perfect size and very well made...
