So my boyfriend lives in a house where there is no designated spot for the vent so he's had to open the window and let it go out that way. It's highly frustrating here in Utah where it's cold in the fall and winter months so in order to do laundry we freeze. So I ordered this and it works amazing. It keeps the cold air out and holds the vent in place. The velcro is very strong and was very easy to apply. I am very very happy with this product and I am glad that it has provided extra velcro. I opted not to cut the excess off because we do have an AC that has a vent. So In the summer we can move this to use for the AC because then it won't matter if the window is opened.

It worked wonderful for me. Saved me during this southern CA Heat Wave haha. Much easier to put on than the old plastic insulators that came with the AC. I could see why some people might say the velcrow isn't that strong, but just put it on tight and secure it. Also when taking it off during the day don't yank it, its pretty sturdy but i think people might be yanking it as opposed to taking it off slowly. Takes me like 30 seconds to pull it off the door frame if. Not a big deal at all. Would totally buy it again and have been recommending it to several people!

SO much easier/ better than those large plastic window kits, especially for horizontally sliding windows. It took me about 5 min to prep and another 5 to install. Best thing is, at the end of summer I can leave the Velcro on and still close my window. There was one area near the bottom that the adhesive did not stick. I ended up using double sided gorilla glue tape for that area, and it has since held well through our fairly humid summer. Only giving 4 stars because I wish it came with a bit of extra double sided tape for when the adhesive fails

Got this for my 3D printing ventilation setup and im quite pleased with it. Gave the Velcro some time to stick on before actually using and its staying on pretty well, though there's one bit that did come off but that was just due to poor surface prep so that on me. Its really straightforward to use, just stick it on your door frame and then put the hose through the hole and tighten it. Its winter so the air outside is quite chilly but because its made of polyester it acts like a windbreaker and I was really surprised by how little back draft came through. Overall really nice door seal, while my use case was different its no different from other and im real happy with this thing.

I have weird windows and the install kits that come with portable air conditioners, never fit properly. I always have to mess around with them to get them to fit and although I can manage, there will always be duct tape involved. And it is such a struggle. I saw this kit and decided it was cheap enough and looked like it could work. OMG I love it. It's so easy to install. I have horizontal sliding windows. All you do is cut the velcro strips into 4 pieces to fit the window opening. Adjust the window to the width of the fabric insert that has velcro already on it. You can cut this to length but I just rolled it up to fit the window, In case I need to use it elsewhere, like a patio door. This fabric panel is a heavy duty parachute type material. Very sturdy. Towards the bottom is an opening for your AC exhaust hose. It has an adjustable drawstring to fit snuggly around the hose, and another velcro strap to secure it further. The only thing it did not have was some screening for the end that sticks out the window, to prevent critters from getting in the hose. You can easily add your own. What originally came with the AC didn't really work here so I removed it. Super happy. This was so easy I think I installed it in under 15 minutes. All you need is a scissors.

Works great. Keeps the bugs up. And hooks up the air conditioner for an exhaust.

Easy to install. However, after a couple of days it no longer sticks to my window. It needs a stronger adhesive. Seems like the air and weight of the tube is too much and the adhesive is not strong enough for the velcro strip to stick. I cleaned the window as directed and I still have to repeatedly go and press it back onto the window. Quite annoying. I think I will just buy the plastic one instead.

This universal window kit is a HUGE improvement over the ones that came with my portable air conditioners and way more easier to install. The only reason I can't give it five stars is because the none of the strips of velcro backing lined up with the size of my window. I had to fold it a bit at the end to get it to line up. It's too bad they couldn't design it in a way so that you could put the backing on yourself to get it to match your window width exactly. The other thing I noticed is that this lets in more outside noise since it's constructed of fabric. I use it in my bedroom window which is above a busy street. The outside noise is a bit louder now versus using the plastic kit that came with my unit which helped block out more noise. It does the job, though, and I love that if I get a cooler day/night I can detach the fabric from the velcro tape to let the fresh air in, or I can simply pull down the top window. Fabric is very durable and tear proof and should last forever. Have had no issues getting my bedroom cool since using this kit.
