Instructions were mostly okay, some of it needs refining. The worst part of assembly is the large pipes of the reel. The pipes are not labeled, they should show which end mates with the next end! They are basically 2 different diameters, but they only fit together in one combination. They are NOT identical when fitting the pipes together. If you can't fit the pipes together, reverse the smaller pipe through the opposite side of the larger pipe. The length of the reel out of the box is almost 15 feet. If you have a smaller cover, you can shorten the length by sliding the pipes together, drilling some holes, and securing with screws. The parts were safely packed, no damage during transport. Overall impressed with the quality of the hardware and function of the device.

Absolutely love this!! Makes placing and removing the solar cover easy. One person operation. Durable and well built. Super easy to put together. Works as designed. Fits perfectly over the inground pool.

Arrived quickly and all the parts were in there. The instructions are not easy to follow, but we managed to figure it out. None of the parts are labeled which would have been helpful. Hence the 4 stars. It took two of us 60-90 minutes to finish for our inground 10’ x 30’ pool, but once assembled it seems pretty sturdy. We did drill our own holes because we were needing it shorter than the existing pilot holes allowed which wasn’t an issue. We fitted it for the pool width only so that we can still fold that flap over when we want to use the spa without opening the whole thing. When opening the cover we just need to manually fold over the spa flap and roll it up with the rest. It works just fine. There are walls on two sides of the pool which I was worried might interfere but they’re really not a problem. The caps on the ends of the wheels and poles seem cheap and temporary, but they supply several extra for when they pop off. Seems like that could have been designed better. There are also extra clips for the solar cover in the event that plastic wears out or breaks. Overall I’m very happy with the quality for the price compared to many others available. It fits our needs for our solar cover, and makes getting it off and on so much easier than trying to fold it and store it somewhere. Our 7 yr old can turn the wheel by himself which makes him feel good. I will update if/when we have any issues.

Very happy with this item, it makes removing and storing the solar cover a quick and simple task. Took about a half hour to assemble the entire thing. The instructions are fairly straightforward and easy to follow. My pool is 12’x24’ and I’m easily able to remove the cover and put it back on by myself.

I put the posts on the wrong side, my mistake. It's held together with 2 nuts and bolts on each side, just need to swap the sides. The problem is the bolts would not loosen. It became increasingly difficult to remove and one bolt eventually broke. The other is stripping. I know my righty tighty from my lefty loosey. It would have been great if I got the posts right because then I know these are never coming loose.

This comes completely disassembled and took my husband and I about an hour to get it all properly put together. The instructions leave a bit to be desired, but if you really study them you can figure out what they are trying to say. Once fully assembled, moved into place and attached to our pool cover. Haven't used it much yet, still early in the season, but when we have used it, it rolls smoothly. We had to fasten the ends down in order to be able for one person to use it alone, otherwise the non-rolling end would move around and get everything all messed up. Also, it's a bit short for our above ground pool, so we put it up on some 4x6 blocks just to add a bit more height.

Use this for our solar cover. It literally bowed in the middle and made it impossible to reel in. Had to insert a steel pipe inside of it and attach it with bolts drilled through it. With the modifications, it works fine.

Wow! Having had a cover reel in the past, this one by Vingli wins that category hands down! Very substantial and quality materials, heavy duty and not bad looking either. A bit of time to put together but well worth that and you can’t beat the price. Recommend highly.
