Potions Kit

My little grandniece wanted one of these and it was so much fun to do it with her. I actually wound up buying her several of them because it was so much fun watching her do it. It was cute to see how excited she was and fun to see her follow the directions to get it done.

My daughter received this for her birthday and we all loved it! It was so much fun. You follow the recipes in the book and it makes a lot of cool “potions”. It was very easy to use for my eight year old. Great functionality! It’s a very good value for the money. I got her another one for Christmas it was so much fun.

Got for my niece, she loves making "potions" and doing experiments. She was so excited to get the magic mixies magic potion kit. We've spent hours making different potions and seeing what they do. They all blew her mind, especially the one you turn upside down and no water pours out. It's definitely making her more interested in science which I like. You do need ingredients that aren't included in the kit for some of the recipes which you should have around the house, or are inexpensive to get. Only downside is they don't give you containers to put the house ingredients in so you can put the appropriate label stickers on like you can with the ingredients that are included in the kit. It makes it a little more complicated to follow the recipes as they list the the mixie name of the ingredients so you're constantly looking at the list to figure out what you actually need to use rather then being able to look at the label and know.

My 8 year old loves making potions. What kid doesn’t like making potions!! This was the perfect gift for her! She had a great time making the different potions listed in the book. Great value for the money. We will definitely buy this for other kids as well.

Got it for my son, at first he was like this is a girl toy then he realized how much fun it was. The experiments are cool. All of them work. The directions are easy to understand. It is worth the money. It was a great value with nice equipment. You will need a couple of things that you have at home like dish washing soap and vegetable oil.

It is very fun and easy to use! There are little crystals and beads that glow in the dark. 😃 To make them glow brighter, just put them close to any source of light to charge them.

My daughter is younger than the stated age range, but she does think this is fun, at least in theory. Some of the potions are neat reactions. My main complaint is that a lot of the potions are exactly the same mixture with a different color. And some of them barely have any chemical reaction at all, just mild swirls of colors. And since you have to get your own ingredients from your kitchen, the setup time is rarely worth the payoff. Not to mention the annoyance of having to reference the list to remember whether Unicorn Horn Juice or whatever is water or vinegar or soap... Doesn't really add to the experience. If you're going to do that, at least give us actual useable labels for the home ingredients with the real names in small type. I can kind of hold my kid's attention for a little while with this, just because she can't read and needs help with every step. If your kid is older, they'll probably blow through this and be done with it in an afternoon. Hard to imagine coming back to it after you've done everything once.

Need a few basic household items. Don't forget to label the bottles to makes it easier. Great product 👌

My 9 year old read the instructions and did all of the potions independently. She loved them so much and took it upon herself to do a presentation in front of the class at school on how them her favourite potion. Very impressed. I’ve bought a lot of these in the past and this one was by far the best set

Grand daughter loves this kit and we spend quality time making "potions". Does need adult involvement (not just supervision), makes a bit of a mess, and every potion requires some other common house hold additives like, flour or water or vinegar. Potions are basic chemistry, that is cleaverly presented as potions.
