Brass Fish Scaler L

The best fish scaler I have used to date. I descaled lots of whole salmon with ease. It is light, effective yet gentle. Scales do not fly about that much - they mostly clump together and attach to the scaler until physically removed or washed away. The wood handle looks a bit porous and the metal seal does not look completely watertight so, I hope it lasts. The packaging was basic - just bubble wrap with no tag. The seller seems to change but mine is: TKG brand, seller EBISU Japan Market. Well worth it so far.

I was initially sceptical if the scaler would work to expectation. Once used, I would not use other fish scaler again. This little brass made fish scaler does the job really well. I love to clean fish myself and use it to de-scale seabrass and seabreams. With little force, the fish scales come off easily. Very Good.

Simple, efficient and looks good. Don't think I'll ever catch enough fish to wear it out. Would recommend it to everyone.

Solid build, good balance, ideal for domestic use on fine or coarse-scaled fish. Beware imitations that do not have the hammered very fine cutting flange on each tooth. No need to pay a fortune - this does the job well. Will outlast me, but then I am 67!

When I go to Japan I buy these all the time. They just work. this is the same model, effective and descales on point. Not full marks because this is waaaaaaay overpriced. More expensive then buying in a Tokyo market.

This is top quality material but too small for good size fish and i tried to clean my big fish but this is hard to clean but for small fish like trout and sea bass is spot on

Cet écailleur est très solide et permet d'écailler tous les types de poissons, des petits au plus gros, facilement et rapidement. Si comme moi vous préférez écailler vous-même vos poissons, c'est l'ustensile idéal.

I usually have my fish scaled before I purchased it but forget to tell the butcher to scale it . When I got home I realized the work needed to be done on the red snappers. I have used knives years before and had scales all over my nice kitchen. I purchased two scalers after reading reviews . One review person said he put his fish in a bag, layed it flat and scaled the fish. I tried the same method( took a kitchen bag) layed the fish in it to prevent scales from flying all over my kitchen . Some scales escaped before I really got the hang of it. It worked beautifully using this scaler and cleaned the two large fish in just a few minutes. The other scaler I tried did not work as well as this one. Glad I purchased it . It is sturdy and well made

Ich habe den Fischschuppenentferner noch nicht ausprobiert, aber so wie viele japanischen Produkte hat er eine sehr edle Optik und scheint sehr hochwertig zu sein. Ich gehe davon aus, dass es ein Produkt ist, dass man den Rest seines Lebens benutzen kann. Nichts für Menschen die alles in die Spülmaschine stecken müssen. Zum Großteil aus natürlich Materialien (Messing Guss, Holzgriff) gefertigt und er fühlt sich gut in der Hand an und sieht edel aus.
