(the item sold was clearly the genuine article) This worked perfectly with Android (two different OBD apps) and from Windows, both with Classic Bluetooth (not BLE). I also established a direct serial over BT connection at 115200 baud from both Windows and Android and was able to query using standard ELM327 v2.3 commands. I was not able to connect to the BLE from Android, however.

Tried other cheaper ones with poor results, This works perfectly Used the BMW app for it, which wasn't cheap but you get what you pay for.

I spent a while trying to get this to work correctly on an F series BMW - torque app worked just about, Bimmer Tool could not see the ecu though and it was my app to use. Eventually i found it had very aold firmware on the device, so download the lastest version from vgate's site v 4.1.17 and now it works correctly. This must have been really old stock as the firmware in the device was over 5 yrs old. I would image most people would just return it.

Doesn’t do that much, works with various apps, I tried several but couldn’t fix the car. A waste of money.

I use this with Bimmercode on my Z Fold 4 to program my 330d F30. Works flawlessly and has helped me to unlock a lot of things on my car. Very happy.

Ich wollte nur das bei meinem Dokker die Tachobeleuchtung permanent an ist. Beim Fahren mit Tagfahrlicht bleibt alles dunkel und ich sehe sehr schlecht wie schnell ich bin. Ich hatte in 4 Renault Werkstätten gefragt keiner konnte/wollte helfen den Bordcomputer umzuprogrammieren. Im Internet war das Procedere beschrieben aber in den Werkstätten gänzlich unbekannt.
