Q: Is this suitable for use with food? Honey etc?

Its designed as a dispenser for liquid soap (washing up liquid ,etc.) so I suppose it could be used to dispense anything of equivalent or lower viscosity. However I doubt it would be suitable to dispense anything of higher viscosity such as honey, table sauces, etc.

Q: I like these and have had 2 but the lid has split adn I woudl like to buy just a new lid. Is this possible please?

My base where the soap came out split and I bought a new one. It may be possible to get a new one from the seller. I decided to keep my fairly full after my experience so there was less pressure on the outlet

Don't know. But probably just as cheap to buy a complete new one. They are not that overly expensive
