I have a slow digestion, which can cause me a lot of trouble such as feeling bloated, stomach acidity, etc. And, if I eat dairy, thing may get worse as I am lactose intolerant. One of my techniques to deal with this is to consume digestive enzymes, especially if I consume yogurt, ice cream or other dairy products. Liver Medics’s Digest Harmony puts together some very effective digestive enzymes that get me out of trouble, no bloating or acidity, even if I eat some dairy. I normally take one capsule with food (half the serving size). I rarely take two capsules.

I got these hoping to reduce bloating and improve digestion. I've taken them primarily when I eat a lot of cheese, though I'm not actually sure if I'm lactose-intolerant or not. These pills are easy-to-swallow, flavorless, and do not hurt my stomach like some pills do. The serving size is only one, which is nice. After trying these several times, I do think they help, but they don't completely solve my issues. I would say these are effective digestive enzymes and if you know you need them, this is a good choice.

I've tried various enzyme blends in the past, particularly one by Source Naturals for flavor and effectiveness. This one's capsule coating has a slightly puky scent that I dislike, so I take it with water without trying to determine if it has any unpleasant flavor as well. I took 1 capsule of this enzyme with a glass of water about 30 minutes before a meal. I didn't feel any gastrointestinal discomfort from the enzyme. So, I'll have my mom start taking this enzyme and see if it helps her with the bloating she usually experiences from eating bread and other gluten foods.

DO NOT TAKE IF YOU HAVE GASTRITIS! Due to the high levels of Protease these caused a major flare up!
