Excellent solution for larger tanks..
We currently have a 220l and 55l tropical aquarium but are shortly having a 1000l tank to add to our collection so wanted to find a solution to the laborious routine we undertake during water changes. This entails draining the tank out of a window/bucket and filling using watering cans of warm water (to minimise shock to fish) which can take well over an hour. The Python valve has now cut the overall time to about a third of that time and is such a breeze to use albeit it does leak whilst filling up so could make a mess on your worktop. You'll need to ensure dechlorinater is used as you fill and keep an eye on water temperature if like us you are adding hot water so you don't harm your fish. Top tip; do not buy the Python complete system as it is a total rip off. I purchased a Hozelock 25m and accessories for £25 which meant the total cost was just under £40. I really don't know why we didn't use this when we first became tropical fish enthusiasts, an excellent solution!

A ten out of ten product.
What is there to say I love it and think it is great and cuts out carrying water in buckets back and forward to the kitchen and making a mess with water everywhere I would recommend the python to anyone.

flimsy - returned
I wanted to use this to make a homemade python style aquarium cleaner. This does the job initially but is made of flimsy plastic. After a few uses the thread on the part that connects to the tap wore out and then this started leaking. The thread that connects to the main tap is also very shallow, so that I found when trying to tighten the connector, the thread on the tap would pass the end thread on the plastic connector and would slip. Managed to get a refund. Someone entrepreneurial needs to make a metal version - i'd happy pay a lot more for that.

Perfect replacement!
This is used for changing the water in our very large aquarium. The last one we had originally purchased from the pet store got a crash in it and was spraying water everywhere. This is the exact replacement and saved us from having to go out to the Big Al’s store to get a new one. Thank you!

Built cheap, but it works
These things work great but if you’re not careful, they will get stripped out and you have to get a new one. Wish they would make metal ones.
