PH Strips do as they should. You get a lot of them too.
I am using these test strips in order to test the ph of my water for gardening purposes (eventually) and to test the ph of my dye vats. They appear to be doing what they should and so I have no complaints. They are a thin piece of paper that you tear off and quickly dip in the water and compare it against the chart supplied. I found it easy to make the comparison as you can just put the paper in front of the chart and pick the one where you can tell a color difference the least. My water tested at a 7, which is right in the middle of the ph scale... most would think this is a great thing, but when dyeing a leaning toward one end or the other could produce nice colors. This is not a problem as there are ways to increase or decrease the ph and get what I want. Great ph strips from what I can tell so far. When creating my reviews I take in to full consideration the quality of the product, communication with the seller, and longevity of the product. I revisit my reviews from time-to-time in order to ensure the review is as up to date as possible based on my continued use of the product. This ensures that the product not only performs well upon delivery, but maintains consistent quality.

Quality packaging with as much accuracy as should be expected for litmus strips
Received 2 packets, each with 100 litmus strips in good, dry condition with uniform starting color. Easy to use color chart on inside of packet; strips were perforated for easy tearing. We used these for a child's science experiment (alongside another brand of pH test strips that read in the range of 1-6 with 0.5 increments). We tested 12 different substances (liquids or semi-solids mixed with water), and re-tested those that gave an acidic reading with the other brand for specificity/confirmation. The litmus strips gave an accurate ballpark pH for everything we tested in the experiment and were easy enough for a child to interpret. Happy with the purchase and would recommend to others with similar needs. I would caution that the strips can't be expected to distinguish within narrow pH ranges -- they are best used to generally identify substances as very acidic, slightly acidic, neutral, slightly basic, or very basic.

Item came quickly and was very easy to use
Needed to test acid level for a school science project. Did not even know where to start. Searched and found this product which appeared to fit the need, Item came quickly and was very easy to use. Tested various temperatures of liquids and all were quickly read by the strips. Very clear color chart to find the exact ph level. I am sure there are other uses for this product and since we have an ample amount left, will see what else we can do with it. Very straightforward product that worked well for our situation. Happy with this purchase as the price was reasonable and the product seemed to be of good quality. If we ever need more, will definitely reorder.

They work.
Convenient package, BUT they should make the front cover a little bit shorter so that it doesn't overlap the staple and can self-close like a matchbook. At least on the books I received, the front cover is the same length as as the back, with a significant overlap of the staple, so unless they're re-creased they won't close flat. However, the strips work adequately. Results reasonably matched expected values for pineapple juice, tap water, white vinegar, 10% sodium bicarbonate solution, and to verify (along with mass comparison) that I'd successfully calcined my sodium bicarbonate into sodium carbonate (again with a 10% solution). Did not have so much success with testing pH of a sourdough starter I was trying to make, but that's pretty thick (so checking with litmus paper may not be very accurate) and the starter didn't work out and was tossed out, so it might've been plenty accurate: the litmus paper showed it to be somewhat acidic but not as acidic as it should be to kill off bad bacteria; as well, after several weeks, it did not seem to get the right bacterial strains to stop smelling nasty from bad bacteria, so it was tossed out. Have not tried again yet.

Nice product
The product is very reasonably priced and nicely packaged. The two "match book" style holders of the pH strips are individually heat sealed in a thin plastic package. Those two packages are in a nice quality, tight fitting, zip-lock bag. There are supposedly 100 pH strips per "book." Each strip is roughly 9 mm wide by 54 mm long and secured to the base of the book by a perforated strip. The perforated connect is secure but also allows an easy and neat tear from the book. Printed on the inside of the cover of match-book style holder is the color-coded pH chart of 14 colored steps from a pH of 1 to a pH of 14. I haven't conducted any rigorous testing of the pH reading accuracy but a simple acid-neutral-base exposure suggests it should work fine. I certainly appreciate the quality of the packaging, apparent quality of the litmus, and impressed by the speed of delivery. I'll happily recommend Lab Rat Supplies and seek them out for purchase of other lab related products.

DO NOT BUY
These strips did not work. I tried them on several different foods, crushed into paste or dipped into sauce or liquid. Repeatedly, the paper did not change color. When it did change color - it was all the same color - the same acid level - every single time. There was no variation. I tested many different foods. Crushing them into a paste - not adding any liquid to them. Examples: Crushed blue berries - 7. Broth from fish soup - no change. Mashed potatoes - no change. Crushed celery - no change. Mayonnaise - no change. Water - 7. Sweet and sour sauce - 7. Peanut butter - 7. Jelly - no change. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

Easy to use.
Easy to read with the chart. Results in a timely fashion. I assume it is accurate.

Good for overall use, not so great for specific testing.
These strips are a wonderful (and cheap) way to test the pH of something quickly. They are very reactive and do well overall. The only thing which I personally found rather confusing about these strips are the reaction colors. From around 5-8, they all are a similar or one tone different shade of green. I used these to test my skincare pH and the difference between a 5 and a 7 in products is huge - so having the colors look distinct is important. But other than that, you do get a bunch for the price which is nice.
