Speick After Shave Lotion, 3.4 oz

Wow, Speick really lives up to the hype! Its refreshing neroli scent is not something I see often in American aftershaves, and Speick has really helped reduce irritation whilst soothing my skin. I would highly recommend it to anyone who uses a razor!

I have a fairly sensitive face. For years I would only shave once a week or less because it bothered my face so much. Luckily I work in setting that wasn't a problem. A month or so ago I decided to start shaving daily. I had been using the Gillette Power Fusion for years, but when moving to daily shaving I 1 didn't like the cost and 2 didn't like the mediocre shaves. After trying a few others razors (Shick Hydro 5, Powerglide, etc) I decided to switch to using a DE Safety razor. I cannot say enough about the cost savings doing this. Prior to making the switch to using a DE Safety razor, I never really thought that much about aftershave. I just used a Nivea product from local supermarket. When I switched to a the DE Safety Razor I did a bunch of research and discovered the value of using a good soothing aftershave. I first tried a few days without using it, and then started using it. I must say after a week of using this one I really like it and it does its job. When you use it, it stings for just a moment but then sooths very nicely. The sent is not overpowering and lingers for a few hours. The scent is light enough not to conflict with cologne if you choose to wear one. But it is enough that if a woman got close she could smell it. Initially she would smell it when a several feet away, but after a half hour or so she would have to be fairly close. This works very well for me. I don't like an overpowering smell. So far I've received nothing but good comments from the scent. I would recommend trying this product. Well worth the $17.50 I paid. I will order again when this bottle gets low.

Having shaved for thirty years, I didn't think I would ever find a product that "wowed" me. I have used at least a dozen aftershaves though the years, from drugstore classics like Aqua Velva, Skin Bracer, Old Spice and Pinaud's Clubman to cologne based brands like Jovan Musk and Obsession. I've also tried a handful of balms ( Nivea, Aqua di Gio, CK Man, Taylor of Old Bond street and others). I read some reviews of Speick at a shaving web site [...]. I saw so many positive comments that my curiosity was piqued. I checked the ingredient list and found it contained speick plant extract, witch hazel, glycerine, menthol, camphor and alum. I had never seen so many skin friendly ingredients in one after shave. When I opened the bottle, I was delighted with the scent- orange blossoms and lavender with undertones of wood and herbs. As an added bonus, my wife was quite fond of the scent. The real surprise was after splashing it on post-shave. It is very soothing. Nothing has ever made my face feel this good after a shave. The scent is quite short-lived however. Since I typically wear a cologne, this is more of a feature than a bug as I don't really want my AS battling my EDT. I highly recommend this product and now consider it essential to my daily routine.

My German friends always tell me that their fathers/grandfathers use this stuff. One whiff will tell you why. It is definitely an old school type of aftershave. Not everyones bag for sure. It is vastly different than the other aftershaves that I use but it's a good one. Natural ingredients...the scent has a somewhat juniper and witch hazel fragrance. I think the past batches I got were more heavy on the juniper which is what I like. This aftershave dissipates fairly quickly so you won't be smelling yourself all day which is nice. It isn't really a warm spicy scent like bay rum or lime. But it is clean and refreshing with a slightly woodsy smell. Solid product quality-wise with not too much burn. A good everyday aftershave.

I am a 78 year old who rarely writes a review and who fell into the habit of using an electric razor and then shaving with a blade to get a closer shave. I carefully read the reviews on this product and found a common theme of a shave as close as a blade. Skeptical but willing to give this a try my skepticism dissolved. No more shaving with a blade. As a side note I also ordered the aftershave and it is an excellent complement to the pre shave as it soothes the skin. The scent is ethereal in nature and not overpowering, These products are “next level” wonderful!

This German aftershave has a crisp, fresh, clean, and masculine scent from the Speick plant, but even more importantly, it feels amazing on the skin and soothes any nicks or redness without any oiliness. The wonderful scent lasted for me an hour, or just over; the healing effects lasted all day and kept my skin feeling smooth and unblemished. Even though it costs a little more than typical aftershaves, I highly recommend it!

Speick Aftershave; what can I say? There’s so much to say about this magic juice. This isn’t your ordinary aftershave splash folks. This is facial nourishment with a nice aroma. You know that feeling you get when you’re thirsty and you take a sip of cool fresh water? Your body gently relaxes and you feel nourished and complete in a nice way. Whether you have a great shave or a terrible one, when you splash on Speick, you get a little warming from the alcohol content followed by an intense feeling of hydration and a cooling effect I have never encountered anywhere else. This product goes above and beyond in performance. The scent is lovely as well, it’s gentle and has a very green component to it. To me, it smells a lot like Gin with pine trees surrounding it. Imagine you’re at Christmas dinner standing next to a large (and real) Christmas tree and then pop the top off a bottle of Beefeaters. Very similar aroma! I only wish it projected more and had more presence! But it is after all, an aftershave. Do not hesitate to try this magic juice, it’s very likely to take your great shave to a higher level or worse case, repair your face after a bad shave!

My husband wanted one without a strong scent, and this is perfect. It smells good without being overpowering, lasts well, and doesn’t cause any skin irritation

It fulfills it's job very well, it's smell/aroma (slightly lavender) makes it feel very refreshing, it does have a slight nip when applied but not as strong as some other aftershave lotions have. I love it, along with their per-electric shave lotion..

Really liked the original Speick international fragrance.

Great natural fragrance, not at all overpowering and doesn't interfere with my EDT or EDP. Feels really nice after shaving and leaves skin nicely moisturised.

Je me rase au DE, et ayant une peau sensible je suis plutôt orienté baumes, mais cet after shave est vraiment spécial ! J'aime particulièrement l'utiliser en été - en hiver, les baumes me conviennent mieux. Il se caractérise par son parfum à la fois fort et doux, très frais, très volatile, a des kilometres de ce que vous pouvez trouver dans votre grande surface habituelle, et la sensation de fraîcheur qu'y de douceur ui apparaît en quelques instants est remarquable. Aucune irritation ni rougeur, une peau lisse et douce, et une belle journée qui commence !
