Authentic Vintage Style Brass Pocket Compass with Leather Case Rustic Vintage Home Decor Gifts

I bought these as a last minute "stocking stuffer," for my two boys. We are all going our separate ways next summer. My oldest to his own apartment, my youngest to college, and me to a smaller home. We've been the three amigos their whole childhood, and I wanted to give them this compass to tell them that, no matter where each of us ends up, we can always find our way home. Home is wherever we are together. The compasses arrived five minutes ago, and I'm literally a little emotional. I hadn't expected this level of quality. They are absolutely beautiful, and genuinely look as if they are antique. They are heavy, and the pouch is simply beautiful. My only caution is for people to be careful unbuckling the little strap the first few times. It will need to stretch in order to be able to be unbuckled. (It could be due to the cold temperatures they just arrived in, too.) Just let it work a little until it stretches enough to allow the little pin to slip out of the hole, and you're good. I wouldn't force it, though. I'm so grateful these arrived, and will be quality enough to help me make the statement to my boys that I really want to make. Thank you so much!

Compass works great and looks like a vintage item. Case is nice but a little cheap looking. Overall, I would recommend based on price and decent quality for the price.

This was bought for my daughter to gift her friend. The first compass that we received looked fine, but the compass was not functional. The return was quick and easy and the new one worked perfectly and her friend loved it! Has a vintage-y feel to it and the quality looks much better than the price!

Beautifully crafted and sturdy. Bought it for a dirty Santa but decided to keep it for myself.

I knew the high possibility that this brass compass wouldn't be very accurate, but it's fine because I mostly bought it as a little decoration. The compass itself is beautiful, a nice dark bronze color and the arrow on mine had a green gem (the pictures shown above show the arrow without a gem, so the style might be randomized). The lid had the lovely poem but it was a little bit rusty, but I think it gives it an aged look and a certain charm. My only slight complaint is the leather case that comes with the compass. I did a rub test with a lightly dampened cloth and found that the leather material is a heavy (and seemingly rushed) dye job. A lot of reddish-orange dye bled off and I was left with a light tan color. Now that the case is dry, though still a bit sticky near the stitching, I think it looks pretty good. Just be careful when you get the case so it doesn't stain your clothes or carpeting!! Overall, I got what I paid for and I'm pleased with the result.

My daughter bought this. She likes anything that has an aged look and this fit great in her collection. I would say it is more of a decoration than anything else.

Bought this as a prop for a gaming weekend, and I was amazed at the quality for the price. Quite a weighty item, and got a lot of great comments. Not yet used as a compass, but appears to work fine.

A very well received birthday gift, constantly played with. Even took it in for show and tell!! Encourages adventure and imagination as well as teaching compass reading skills. Great value for money.
