We change both at the same time. That makes sense to us.

About how many gallons does each filter use before replacement?

About 528 gallons according to the manual. Once you replace them, you hold the reset button, as the instructions say, to reset the counter. The other person that answered here needs to learn to read.

Does this machine work for well water?

Yes. I've used it through 3 sets of filters with well water. It works fine, no real issues as long as the well water is generally drinkable to begin with, it removes pretty much all the flavors etc. If the water isn't potable to start with, you would need another filter from what I can tell.

What do i do if the uv light turns on? the cf and ro lights are not turning; just the uv light. what does this mean?

L’eau ici est très dur (330 ppm) et je me sert de cette machine pour réduire le calcaire principalement . Après filtration elle est à 25 ppm et l’eau a bien meilleur goût . Très efficace et les filtres sont à prix raisonnable .

These are the exact filters that are supplied with the unit. They last 6 months and a light comes on the purifier to change the filters. Relatively easy to change, however I thought I was going to break the unit trying to remove the old ones to replace them. I had water leak from them initially as I should have cycled a pitcher of water through it to fill the filters and get everything reset. This is the first time I’ve replaced them so it’s a learning process. The water quality of these filters and unit are outstanding. Will definitely order again around 6 months from now.
