No issues
I know this camera gets a lot of mixed reviews, but after dealing with a Ring camera linked through HomeBridge to my HomeKit setup, this camera is a revelation. I refused to use a battery-powered unit, but most are dual-power, so they are giant ugly things in case you use the batteries - I love that this one is wired-only so it’s nice and small and attractive. Notifications are fast and dynamic and it uses HomeKit Secure Video which is a massive deal. Summer hasn’t hit yet, but it never gets direct sunlight, so I’m probably good there. Video quality is great, I love the portrait orientation and the built-in light. HomeKit setup was easy and I like all of the options and automations available in the Home app, as well as direct integration with my Apple TV and HomePods. The only pain was installing the chime kit. It is actually dead simple, which was revealed to me by a YouTube video, the included instructions vastly overcomplicate it and I was livid when I thought chime functionality would require running new doorbell wires. Again, once I watched a YouTube video, it took 2mins and were in business.

Scam. Defective units and not renewed/refurbished
Do not buy. Purchased two units from two different sellers. The first one arrived broken in a boot loop. I returned it but am still waiting for a refund. Both sellers use USPS for shipping, so it takes a while. The second unit boots up correctly but doesn’t let me add it to HomeKit. I get “Doorbell already added to home". I contacted Logitech support directly, and they confirmed that these are behaviors of defective units and there is nothing I can do. I also purchased multiple chargers, cables, and transformers because I thought it was an issue on my end. What a waste of money and time. These aren't refurbished, renewed, etc. doorbells. These are defective units that have gotten returned and are now being resold. It’s a scam. Do not buy from third-party sellers. Maybe better luck with brand new and directly from Amazon, but then again, these doorbells seem to have a very, very high failure rate.

Good Doorbell for Homekit Users
The Logitech Circle View is a good quality doorbell. It has a high quality video camera that works well in low light, and accurately detects motion to turn on the camera and record video. The doorbell is small in size, and comes with two mounting options to either mount it flat or mount at an angle. The audio quality is very good; you can clearly hear the voices of visitors at the door, and can speak to them. I don't know how well the audio works when the outdoor environment has a lot of background noise. The video is encrypted and saved in iCloud, via the Apple Secure Video feature. The video does not take away from your iCloud storage; however you do need to have a minimum of 200GB iCloud storage plan. It also works on either 2.4GHz or 5GHz WiFi networks. It is powered from a wired doorbell transformer, so it requires an installed and working doorbell system before it can be installed. It does not have an option to be battery powered. Installation is not too complicated, so most homeowners who do their own home repairs could install it. Wiring it in to ring an existing doorbell is a little more complicated, and the instructions are not very detailed or descriptive. I did experience trouble when trying to join the doorbell to my Apple Home network. It took several attempts, and I also had to factory reset it twice to finally get it to join the Apple Home. I still don't understand why it did not join the first time, because I followed the instructions EXACTLY as written. The instructions guide you to power up the doorbell via USB (using a micro USB cable that isn't provided) and a USB charger of at least 10 watts (also not provided). You join it to the Apple Home prior to installing it by the door. If you do not want to install it yourself, or do not have the skills to install it, there is a version available for $100 more that includes installation by a local professional. I did not use this option. The Logitech Circle View doorbell came out in 2022 and was the first Homekit doorbell available. It has not changed in three years, so there are now more more Homekit compatible doorbells on the market.

Great doorbell
Replaced my wireless google doorbell with this Logitech circle. What a difference! I’m completely satisfied with this product. After figuring out how to hook it up I’m impressed on how well the interface seamlessly syncs with the iPhone HomeKit. The picture is great, the playback time is great. Was able to communicate with the neighbor kids as well as FedEx and UPS to get my packages delivered or for them to return when I would be home. Very little lag time in speaking to output. Only hard part was finding the correct power inverter to replace my standard wired doorbell and not being able to find something nice to cover up the old wiring for the chime. Overall I’m impressed and satisfied

Reset problem & overheat
Super hard to get it reset. Always reporting issues when connecting with HomeKit. Finally getting it configured and running after multiple attempts, but the door bell overheats all the time under shades. Other than that, it works great and I like it.

Heed the warnings!
Probably should have listened to the other reviews. Unfortunately I’m notorious for thinking “This couldn’t possibly happen to me”. Well, I’m disappointed that a company like Logitech would put out such a poorly functioning device. This doorbell camera is not on par with their computer peripherals. This camera drops connectivity like a DJ at the club is dropping beats. Mind you, it’s hard wired to a physical chime, so even when it’s not connected the door chime still works. That’s great, if I’m home. With that said, don’t waste your precious money or time with this device. Hopefully Logitech will recognize they made a turd and actually try to produce a better option for those trying to find a HomeKit compatible option.

Smooth Installation, Clear Image, and HomeKit Integration That Just Works
Installation was straightforward and trouble-free. The image quality is sharp and clear, and the device integrated seamlessly with Apple HomeKit—which was the main reason I chose this model. Since installation, I haven’t experienced any connectivity issues at all. Everything has been stable and responsive. Overall, it's a solid smart doorbell that delivers what it promises. Definitely worth the money.

Horrible
Seriously, these are horrible. Will not stay on WiFi to save its life. Replacing with a different brand. Horrible. And too late for a refund. (I kept hoping it would get better, shame on me.) Horrible.

Logitech Circle View design flaw
Absolute waste of money and time diagnosing two faulty "chime kits". Voltage drop across chime kit prevents doorbell from operating. Only after online research did I realize where the defect existed.

Compatible with my Apple phone and acct
I purchased Logitech over Ring for these reasons, 1 compatible with my iPhone using the Home App 2 the size is smaller and fits better with our home 3 with my iCloud acct, 10 days recording video for FREE Make sure before installation you complete the software update, and follow the instructions when installing the wiring to your old door bell alarm, there is NO MANUAL, it would have been nice to have one to help with the the features in the app, Otherwise very happy with Logitech Doorbell.

Overheats in direct hot hot sun
Works great but be caution about having it exposed to direct sun and it goes off line when it overheats

3 orders. 3 open boxes. 3 defective products.
I’ve now ordered a total of three of these doorbell cams from this seller. All three have showed up in previously opened and damaged boxes and the product has been non-functional. After two returns and reorders, I’m done. Three strikes and this seller is out. I would avoid at all costs.
