HMF 6946006 Quiet Core for Exhaust

I purchased a performance kit. Includes HMF exhaust, K&M filter and a HMF fuel optimizer. My new HMF exhaust for my 4 wheeler was just to loud so i ordered this. As per instructions I removed end cap and installed this core and my spark arrestor. The core fit into a machined groove that was obviously there for this core. Without the spark arrestor i could imagine the core might rattle. But instructions clearly indicated the proper installation. Tightened bolts and off I went. Now it has a nice rumble but is not crazy loud. Core did its job. Before the core install my machine sounded like a race machine. After core install i think it sounds more like a muscle street machine, more in tune. Personnally i think the exhaust system should come with tuning options included. I'm happy with the sound and performance. Hope my neighbors don't mind. I recommend HMF products including this one. This is my first HMF set of purchases.

Easy to install and definitely reduced noise

So far so good. Easy install and actually significantly reducing the volume of this pipe. I live in the country and appreciate the reduced sound, so to my distant neighbours lol. Before you could here the pipe for miles, big difference.

Worked well delivery was before expected time

I bought this to replace the factory “quiet core” on my HMF exhaust which broke at the welds. Well a month into using this one, it also broke at the welds. Ended up just getting rid of the HMF and putting on a simple chinese replacement exhaust. Works better and actually helps to reduce noise.
