Best thermal paste but only if you get it less than 400
Bought product - Thermalright TF7 Review after 4 months(21 jun 2024) The temperature spikes quite a lot now, When doing the same test with -220mv the core 2 and 4 hits 90c and it starts to throttledown. I kind of still good but won't recommend considering the price. The people selling here are looters, they buy in bulk from alibaba and sell it you for 1200 for each when it's cost only around 200-250 for each when buying directly. My suggestion would be to buy from ebuy7.com as aliexpress is banned in india. you can get the same tube for 300-400 including shipping charges and if possible buy ptm 7950 which also cost the same Before buying this product I was thinking of buying gelid gc extreme as I have heard that it is the best for the laptop but I didn't buy it(In the hindsight I guess I did right) because it was expensive(1g for 389 compared to this which is 350 for 2g) My laptop specs i5 9300h gtx 1650(50w) I applied the paste on 27 jan and writing this review on 15 feb and will update the review every 3 months. First the paste is very thick which is good for intel cpu(not sure about amd one) you can't spread it with the provided spatula and you shouldn't also spread it as it can cause trapped air bubble. I did the rice grain method on both cpu and gpu. I did cinebench r23 and below are the result. ** All the test and gaming test were done on flat surface with 1.5cm thick book between the laptop and surface for better airflow ** #Test 1 - undevolt of -125mv and unlocked wattage AC(multicore) score - 5265(pic 1) temps - as you can see 85 max on core#0 which was only for a second, but through out the test all cores were between 77 - 80. wattage - 63w(cpu package) clock - constant 4.00ghz #Test2 - undervolt of -125mv and locked 50w(cpu package) AC(multi core) Score - 4796(pic 2) temps - 76 max but seeing(74 on core#0 and 70 on all other core 99% of the time) clock - constant 3.65ghz wattage - constant 50w GPU As for gpu I ran the furmark test for 20min and in starting it was 58 but later it stabalize itself to 53 and the wattage was constant 50w and clock was 1785mhz while gaming(unlocked fps) cpu temps = 70 - 72c gpu temps = 58 - 60c gpu has higher temp in gaming because it shares the heatpipe with cpu but it's still pretty good. Some tips - If u have intel cpu it's better to undervolt, as it will allow your cpu to hit higher clock with lower wattages and temps. Also clean the heatsink by removing fan as dust can clog the heatsink. conclusion - I saw a video from deepeshlovetech on youtube who has used gelid gc extreme but his temp were in range of 90c even with only 50w and mine was around 77-80c and that too with 63w and for 50w it was around 70 - 74c. Will update the review in 3 months when summer come.

Value for money
No major difference 5°C lower temperature

Perfectly good thermal paste. It works well and comes with a great amount of thermal paste. The tool makes it way better to fully cover the cpu as well. Couldn’t get any better for the price. So easy to use and spread was easy

not a profesonal at computers but was easy to use and have no complantes with the effect.

I bought this due to having a 12900k that was thermal throttling due to using Lian li’s stock paste. It’s not thermal throttling anymore under full load, and idles around 30ish degrees, which competes with thermal grizzly’s kryonaut at a fraction of the cost. Ive helped build computers and recommended this paste multiple times and has not disappointed with those either. 100% worth buying

Very good, but extremely hard to paste. I put the tube in hot water for alittle bit before I applied.

Thermalright TFX is my top pick for thermal paste on GPUs and glass substrates, by far. Some find its thick texture hard to spread, but I don’t see this as a problem. After decades of experience, my current technique is to simply apply a central blob in the general shape of the surface, let the heatsink’s pressure spread it, and get great results, usually better than careful spreading (check YouTube videos for proof). The thick paste stays in place during GPU temperature swings, preventing pump-out better than most pastes. So far, it's lasted at least a few years in my tests with no degradation, so at worst the longevity is no worse than OEM pastes. It has low thermal resistance and high conductivity, isn’t electrically conductive (unlike liquid metal), and its easy to use. The main drawback is the price: 2g is costly and only covers about six GPUs if you’re careful. I recommend it for GPU refurbishing, but I wish Thermalright offered larger, cheaper quantities for non-OEM customers like me.
