What a great water filter jug. Holds just the right amount for my Brita water heater that I have for my tea. Also the water tastes far better after going though the filter. I like the idea of the light on the lid and also that you can fill it trough the lift up flap or by taking the top right off. Oly thing I have found is that the light that tells you when to change the cartridge goes red way before the filter slows showing it's finished.

Brought this jug to get away from plastics. Thought the size is good. Outer material of the jug is glass. The inner where the filter sits in is plastic unfortunately. Still good keep out of direct sunlight as a tip.

I got this to replace a prehistoric all-plastic Brita filter jug, well over 20 years old but becoming more difficult to clean properly as the plastic became scuffed over the years. No such issues with this shiny new glass jug of course. It's nice to see the design improvements - a properly sealing lid and filtered/unfiltered water kept apart so no mixing of pure/impure to which the earlier one was susceptible. But I had to chuckle at the use of technology for technology's sake - the "smart" battery-powered cartridge lifetime indicator with a battery that can't be changed. A 5 year life, according to the instructions, after which it's chucked away (responsibly). I assume replacements are available? The instructions don't say. My earlier jug just had two small inset clicky wheels - one for the day and the other for the month, so it was a simple matter to set the predicted expiration date for the cartridge especially as that would vary depending on use. No batteries needed and no disposal precautions. It never went wrong even once. ;) I'm a little suspicious of the button's claimed prediction abilities for the cartridge lifetime, since it's a sealed plastic button making no contact with anything. Presumably it senses being picked up and tilted? Dunno, but time will tell I guess.

We love it, glass way better than the plastic jug , however it does not last long before it begins to chip the glass is very thin. really disapointed as I really liked the idea of the glass it just needs to be tougher glass

Have used a filter for more than ten years, long before people were concerned about micro plastics, I went on Google and asked how much the filter removed of micro plastics and it said, the reduction was 99.99 percent reduction, but my jug was getting old, and now the glass one available, so it is smaller than the other, but works well, and the timing device for filter change is different, but it is a very good way to make ones water supply much better.

Good points - glass , thin but holding up good . Keeps water cool .filters fairly quickly. Bad points - even though it says 2.5 l it will not hold this amount . Roughly 2 litres . Mainly due to the internal water holder before filtration . Also to get to this amount you have to fill inner chamber 3 times and wait each time for it to filter . Inner chamber made of plastic so water will come into contact with plastic if you fill it more than once and even then it just about touches the Bottom of filter unit . Holds roughly 3/4 lt of water before it does this so if that’s your main reason maybe this item is not for you unless you need smaller quantities .

Acquistata in cambio di quella in plastica. Decisamente migliore sia come gusto, qualità ed estetica.
