AtmosFX Winter Wonderland Digital Decorations DVD for Winter and Christmas Holiday Projection Decorating

This ambient DVD was perfect for our office holiday gathering, setting just the right mood. I used the night time scenarios in a low-light setting, making the mood at once both cozy and chilling. We did not use the music setting so I can't comment on that, as I used my own mix of music selections. The available options among day and nighttime scenes, window-paned views and uninhibited views, stylized snow and life-like snow are a nice touch, and the gusts of snow between the landscape changes are great! I only wish it were Blu-ray quality/hi-definition, but as it is, it worked just fine. I projected the images on a blank white wall (using a projection screen was too confining), and combined other swirly light projectors (commonly available in stores today) on either side of the DVD images. The combined effect was a great hit! While the loop of snow scenes only lasts 6+ minutes, I think party guests hardly noticed. And while the falling snow, smoke rising from chimneys and moving clouds are all digitally created, they're all very well done, and in no way distract from the grand effect. Furthermore, the great thing about this ambient DVD is that in all the scenes, the "camera" sits perfectly _still_, with no panning or zooming in or out. This means that projection on a large surface (like a wall) has a much more natural effect. (Many other ambient DVDs are unusable in such a setting because when the camera pans or zooms, it gives the effect of the whole room spinning or being pulled into a time warp!) NOTE: I used a stand-alone portable DVD player as the source for playing. Computer DVD drives can be quirky, so I recommend the former if you want a smooth projection. I was able to connect my Sony portable Blu-ray player via an HDMI cable to the venue's existing projection system. Worked great!

I bought this for my projector as an outdoor Christmas decoration. I played it on a screen on my house. It is so cool!!! People would stop their cars in the middle of the street to watch the beautiful snow scenes. The dvd has several options from realistic snow flakes to scenes that look like you're looking into a window where Santa is putting gifts under the tree. I love this dvd and plan on getting the Halloween disc for this Halloween.

This is my favorite, I love the window scenes it makes me feel like I am living back up north where there is always snow for the holidays. These past few days have been very cold here in Florida so I really got into the holiday spirit. I will definitely be buying more DVD of Ambient and Atmosfx. Thank you. Such a great edition to our Christmas party. I put the projector outside, use a frosted shower curtain over the window (secured on the outside), and project a snowy scene into the window. Then I sit in the chair under it and read "The Night Before Christmas" to all the kids. Everyone loved it, and our party is always 50+ people. Now a tradition at our house! We project the Halloween zombie scenes at Halloween and the visitors go wild. We had people videoing our house. Buy these. Now.

The scenes are nice but kind of short. With other AtmosFX videos there was an option to play all and just continually cycle through all of the scenes. I haven’t found a way to do it with this video. Play all would lengthen the overall loop which when projecting to display on windows to complement outdoor decorations would be a plus to keep it from becoming too monotonous.

We enjoy this so much! Very pretty.

Used this for the Company Christmas Party. Everyone seemed to like it. It's nothing special, but it did add a nice background effect. On the flip-side, someone liked it enough to swipe it from my desk at work. Oh well. Easy come easy go.

This dvd played well and was perfect for our window to set the Christmas snowy season .

I purchased two of these videos Santa’s visit Winter Wonderland. These DVDs have about 10 minutes of useable video for each DVD unless you want to run the same video done different ways. Two 4 or five minute scenes done three different ways. A color video, a silhouette style. And the color video done in a window frame . I had planned to use these for a Christmas projection scene, but I can’t see running the same few minutes of video over and over for hours every night. It’s a good idea that’s not taken far enough. Usually when you buy a DVD you get over an hour or more of video. I found these videos unbelievably short I would not recommend this product at all.
