This is a brilliant design, simple, and functional. I haven't, and won't use the iced coffee feature, would be fine without it. Really like the hanger for the measuring cup and the storage drawer for the K-cup holder or the grounds basket. I was able to locate paper filters for the basket on Amazon, (150PCS Disposable Coffee Paper Filter for Ninja PB051 PB041 Coffee Maker) and recommend them because cleaning the steel mesh is easy, but kind of a pain and a mess. With the paper filter I just lift the filter and drop it into the trash or use it for compost, and the steel filter is spotless. The instructions recommend NOT using one of the refillable K-cup devices you can put in, primarily because there is ONE stream on this unit, whereas the Keurig's newer system has multi-stream. Using a stainless steel or plastic insert would likely have grounds all over the place, and I'm not sure it would close properly. I haven't tried putting my stainless steel k-cup refillable in this one, there's no point, when there is the basket for brewing. Using a filter in the brew basket has not been a problem, and it is a fantastic option, MUCH EASIER than trying to put grounds into one of the K-cup refillables. You use more coffee, but it's worth it. JUST HAVING BOTH FEATURES in one slim, nice looking unit with SIMPLE CONTROLS earns this all 5 stars. Really like the bone color, very neutral and easy to clean. Kudos to the Ninja team, will be considering other products they make. This replaced a K-supreme Plus Keurig that I really liked. But, the first one failed within a few weeks, exchanged it and then bought the 2 year insurance plan. It started failing again just over a year... would lose its settings, only dispense a few ounces... very erratic, if I fiddled with it I could maybe get a cup out of it... I had to go back to my old Nespresso machine!!! At least until I got this NINJA PODS & GROUNDS unit. I read reviews, searched on line for the best K-cup options. Was still using up Nespresso capsules... But what tipped the scale to the Ninja Pad & Grounds K-cup was that is available on the prime day sale. I'd read mostly good reviews about this one, the price point was attractive even at regular price. Very happy for the sale and this unit! The only negative reviews read related to opening the top, yeah, it takes some effort. But you can figure out a way of releasing it using a bit of leverage. And if you should open it by accident when it's dispensing it sounds an alarm. What I've been doing is put my forefinger on the chrome piece on the front and use my thumb to lift the lid, can do it with one hand, or both. It stabilizes the unit and opens it up with tipping it over. I imagine I could lift that unit by that handle and it wouldn't open... I've made sure the chrome piece in front was not hot, it hasn't been, but check 1st. I just tried a different way... put both hands on the top of the unit and lifted the lid with my thumbs, pretty sure anyone even with smaller hands would be able to open that. Otherwise find a nice plastic kitchen utensil as a pry bar because this unit is WORTH that small amount of hassle! The other issue I read about was water leakage... noticed warnings to make sure you remove something when setting it up. No leakage on this one, but if one isn't careful putting the tank back in I can see where some water could end up were it's not wanted. Have used every day, many times a day, and no problems. I did purchase the insurance plan for it through Amazon as that was also the company that covered the failed Keurig and it was a reasonable price.

(Se le cayó un imán al adaptador de pods) SOLUCION: el adaptador para cápsulas de la cafetera tienen un pequeño imán que se le cayó sin darnos cuenta por suerte lo encontré y lo volví a poner donde va y volvió a detectar las cápsulas sin problema. yo compre la version color beich pensando que la unica diferencia entre la beich y la de color negro era la maquina para hacer espuma, pero resulto que la de color beich no trae una funcion llamada ¨SPECIALTY 4 oz¨, que es la que te permite hacer los shots para los lattes y capuchinos. Asi que si piensas comprar una de estas dos versiones recomiendo la que tiene la maquina para hacer espuma por su funcion extra y la diferencia en precios es minima. para que puedan sacarle mayor provecho a la cafetera. En conclusion La de color beich funciona excelente y la recomiendo bastante, pero si pudiera comprarla otra vez compraria la de color negro con la funcion especial para capuchinos y lattes.

What an utterly disappointing experience. It is beyond me as to why Ninja would sell ANY of their coffee makers on the Amazon UK site when they come with AMERICAN PLUGS! There is no mention of this in the listing anywhere. Selling a product no one can use….what is even the point. Don’t let the reviews fool you, they are all from the Amazon US site just plastered on this UK posting to make it look good. Ninja makes great machines but not for users in the UK. Also, Amazon Customer Service is absolutely worthless. They said this machine could be used with a power adapter. It CANNOT. If you live in the UK and you need a very large paper weight, this is the right product for you.

When my Keuring coffee maker died after only a couple of years of use I started looking for a replacement. I had heard that Ninja had a good reputation for making quality appliances and when I learned they made a coffee maker that gave you the choice of using ground coffee or Kcups I was intrigued. I do prefer ground coffee as it is much more affordable than the Keuring cups and ...well...I just feel ground coffee...especially the way I prefer it.....black ...tastes better. I was never quite satisfied with the Keuring coffee makers they were so ugly looking and the coffee they made....I guess I already went over that...but anyway as a single old guy who just wanted a single cup of coffee in the morning I was stuck with Keuring. I have had the Ninja Pods and Grounds coffee maker for about 6 months now and I have to say I am very pleased with the product...maybe even more than pleased. As I mentioned I am a black coffee drinker. This coffee maker does a superb job of making a good cup of coffee. I prefer using the "rich" mode as it brings out all the flavors of my coffee. Another thing. I like my coffee hot. I am scratching my head over reports from some other reviewers saying the Ninja does't come through with hot coffee. What? My coffee is always hot from my Ninja. Forgot to mention that my morning routiine also includes a cup of green tea and let me tell you this Ninja comes through with flying colors in brewing a an excellent cup of tea. All I have to do is place a tea bag in the basket put it on "rich" mode and it produces a wonderful cup of green tea. I have the Ninja Pods and Grounds coffee maker that comes in "stone" color that looks so nice on my kitchen counter. It takes up less space than the aforementioned Keuring and gets a lot of compliments. I think it really looks classy. I like the fact that you can adjust the little tray to accomodate any size cup and it will even accomodate my travel mug. Yay! One final note..regarding Kcups...I am not totally against them In fact I keep a few around when I am too lazy to measure out a ground coffee cup o' joe and also for when I have company and need faster coffee making in those situations. The Kcups work great on this machine. Don't know what to say except I hightly recommend this Ninja and think you'll really like it.
