Don’t.
Bought this MacBook in April to serve as my primary workhorse in my home office. After a month of mild use, the motherboard died. Now, I’m a pretty tech savvy person and I tend to take care of my belongings, especially belongings that cost hundreds of dollars. I cannot stress enough that this computer never left my room, I didn’t damage it, I didn’t get moisture on it, and despite knowing it would never see the world outside of my house, I got a protective case for it, just in case. I’m sure you can imagine my surprise when after attempting to update my software, the computer stopped functioning entirely. Due to the refurbished nature it’s not under warranty so I now have to essentially spend the amount used to buy the computer in the first place again in order to repair it. Absolutely unacceptable. I imagine if you’re here, if you’re reading this review, you’re probably in the market for a new computer and want to buy something on the cheaper side. Don’t waste your money, save yourself the headache, look elsewhere.
