Philley Aluminum Ultra-Light Eyeglasses Slim Reading Glasses Case

I love this Philley Aluminum Ultra-Light Slim Reading Glasses Case, especially in purple—my favorite color! It is lightweight, slim, and sturdy, which makes it perfect for carrying in my backpack while hiking.I plan to use it when I hike the Appalachian Trail (AT). The last time I hiked the AT, both my glasses and sunglasses ended up broken, so this time I wanted something strong enough to protect them without adding a lot of extra weight to my pack.The aluminum case feels like a great solution. It gives my glasses the protection they need while still being lightweight enough for the trail. And the beautiful purple color makes it even better!Lightweight, protective, practical, and pretty—exactly what I was looking for.

I love it, met my needs well, but a few things you should decide on before you buy:1. If you're sticking it in an unzippered pocket, this metal finish has no friction or traction, so it slides out on its own pretty easily. I've had it fall out of a jacket chest pocket that I left unzipped several times. The 4 foot+/- drops have not damaged it so far though.2. If sticking it in something that has sharp objects, like keys, it could get scratched more easily than other eyeglass cases, and the scratches in this type of painted metal finish are more obvious.What I love:1. doesn't rely on a spring-hinge to open/close. On other cases I've had, the spring-hinge fatigues and fails too quickly.2. slim, like my favorite past cases. Fits in pockets better than other cases I've had. Still plenty of room for my reading glasses plus a cleaning cloth though.3. beautiful aesthetics. My wife is jealous.4. protects glasses well. The drops I mentioned before didn't harm the glasses. I've also had it in a front chest pocket while I lay face down on the couch, and no problems so far.5. So far, the velvet-like interior layer appears well fastened to the metal case.

I like this case. I ordered it in Blue. It was delivered quickly and did not disappoint. I just purchased my first set of glasses after 30+ years of not needing any. I am going through some issues and needed them to drive. (We won't even talk about the cost of eyewear!)This case is METAL...probably Aluminum, but definitely sleek, and light. It was well-stamped, or machined and the fit and finish was excellent. The padding on the inside is very thin but is also very soft....seems like velvet. I do not think this will be an issue as the case is metal. I was pleasantly surprised overall and would recommend this case.I cannot make assumptions about sizing as it relates to YOUR glasses. I have half-frames...meaning my glasses are pretty thin and light. As a test, I put a pair of sunglasses in the case and they fit. At the price point that they are selling this case, You Can't Go Wrong.

Well made lightweight case to hold eye glasses. Too big for a shirt pocket, so I need to keep in my pants pocket. However, the aluminum case is very smooth and easily slips out of my pocket making it very easy to lose. I wish there was someway to attach a lanyard or clip to keep it attached to my clothing when it does slip out. Perfect if you keep the case in your purse or briefcase since the hard case does protect the glasses. Since I intended to keep in my pants pocket, I wont be using the case much

I specifically went looking for a slim case that will fit in my cars overhead glass case compartment (instead of the center console). The height dimension listed here are 1.1" tall and I measured with my digital caliper at 1.14" which is about half an inch shorter than most cases. I got new glasses with a new case and threw my old case away, mistake. Had no idea the new case that came with my glasses wouldn't fit, it was too thick. This case fits perfectly in my vehicles overhead compartment. It is exactly what I wanted, and slimmer as advertised, so I give it 5 stars. If you need a slim case for a vehicle overhead glasses holder this one is slimmer than most other cases and will fit well.

Great case

Bought this for my very thin, very lightweight Austrian-made frame with my new Rx progressive lenses (post recent cataract surgery). They fit perfectly in the case and don't move around inside as long as you leave the folded microfiber cleaning cloth that came with it (or the like) inside. The case looks good and is extremely lightweight. Sounds great, right? WRONG!!! Upon arrival today I opened the manufacturer's thin cardboard box (which, by the way, was damaged due to inadequate shipper's packaging) and pulled out the case which was wrapped with thin tissue paper. The case slid right out of the paper and landed on the floor (fortunately carpeted). I bent down to pick it up and it slipped out of my hand the 1st try. I used both hands on the 2nd try and got it back in hand, although still very slippery. Just then, my wife walked in and I reached over to her to show her how light it was. Guess what happened next? As I was handing it over, she reached for it and it slipped right out of her hand also. It needs to have some texture to negate the slick surface which, by the way, feels more like plastic than metal, as numerous other reviewers have mentioned. My initial rating would have been 4 stars, possibly even 5 stars except for the slippery finish. I'm debating whether to keep or return the case. I'll probably try it out for a few days, making sure I don't handle it over a hard surface with my glasses inside. I'm also a little concerned about the durability, since it is so very thin. Maybe I should buy some of that sticky substance that football players use to keep from dropping the ball. LOL

使ってひと月程経過。軽いし、薄いけれどペラペラではないし、デザインも好きだし、気に入っています。私は相当視力が悪いので、裸眼でもすぐわかるように目立つ色を選びました。きれいな赤です。

La funda es bonita y de tamaño pequeño como quería, ideal para llevar en un bolso pequeño.

These were good design , not too bulky and the colours were nice (we ended up getting three as I wanted another and my wife wanted one as well!)

J'ai acheté cet étui en prévision d'un voyage de plusieurs semaines avec sac à dos seulement. L'étui est parfait pour mes besoins. J'en ai même acheté un deuxième pour mes verres fumés.
