Will the beads inside leak?

Yes, if there's a tear or rip in the blanket really small crystal like beads fall out. Unfortunately this happened with me and because I'm unable to find the tear I can't fix it.

Do these keep you warm or are they more for just a "feel" and nice cooling effect? Want one for winter 12 pound vs. 15?

I ordered the 15 lb blanket and it kept me warm but I found it too heavy to maneuver during the night. I could do it but it took more effort than I wanted lol. Next time I’d order the 12 lb one. I also believe other blankets could keep you warmer and this is more for the feel of it. I’ve been trying out different blankets and the weighted blanket ranks 6/10 for warmth and an 8/10 for the feeling of safety and being secure. Cant say it made me less anxious but it does keep you a little more still at night.

My daughter isn’t autistic but is gifted and this blanket is very loved. It’s heavy enough that it “grounds” her and has helped improve the amount of sleep she gets at night. All around soothing for her (she even refused to leave it at home when we went on vacation 5 states away!). Best.Purchase.Ever

I love this weighted blanket! I thought it wasn't heavey enough for me. I folded it and it made it heavier, yet easier to cope with. It is soft and I love the color. I am not usually fond of pink. I live that it's breathable material. It helps my anxiety a bit.
