This is a much better feeder (I took the other one back) because the instructions are crystal clear, it is not difficult to program and it performs exactly as advertised. My cat is using it, but ultimately I think the portion size may need adjustment. The chart sets out number of feedings and portion size, so you could choose 5 feedings at 2oz or 4 feedings at 3 oz etc. and food is dispensed at whatever times you choose.

I needed a auto feeder for our outdoor cat as we are traveling for a few days. We have had some in the past that the raccoons have gotten a hold of and destroyed so I wanted one with a flat top to weigh it down and prevent that. This one fit the bill and was priced right so i grabbed it. The instructions were clear and the setup was easy. I was able to program several feedings a day into it to ensure the cat gets food during the day as the raccoons will also take advantage of it at night. The hopper holds quite a bit of food, more than we need to add for the 2 days we are gone and the feeder is working as intended. I was able to weight it down on top with several bricks and there is no way a raccoon can drag it off now. I won't need it all the time but its nice to have the peace of mind when we are out of town and to know the cat is getting fed (As well as several stray cats in our area). So far its durable, easy to clean as the feeding tray pops off and the quantity of a meal is programmable so I can ensure the cat is fed without over feeding her or every animal within a mile. I have it undercover on a back porch so the weather won't affect it so I can't speak of outdoor durablilty yet but it seems to be solidly built. Im happy with the purchase and prefer this one over the way more expensive one I had in the past

This is easy to set up and clean. Clean and sleek. Battery back up when moved for cleaning or during power outages more than sufficient. Could easily relocate feeding for several hours without cord. Durable plastic outer and rubber impeller for dispensing food. Portable using batter for 1-2 days.

DO NOT BUY THIS!!!!! I bought this and firstly, compared to other cat feeders it was relatively difficult to set up. The buttons make a loud sound everytime you try to change something and the lock mechanism is not secure. My cat is easily able to open the lid even after locking. When I was emptying the food to return the item, the food was getting stuck in the little portion compartments so I had to reset the whole thing just to get the rest of the food out and then WORST part of all is that when I went to request a return, they were asking if I needed help to troubleshoot or to get help from the manufacturer. That is NOT what I want. I simply want to return it and it is not allowing me even though I purchased this one week ago. It is absolutely ridiculous and I don’t understand why I am forced to keep a product that is not working for me or my cats. There is NO options for returning and I want my money back. I don’t need help troubleshooting and I don’t need help from the manufacturer, what I need is to return this item and my money back!!!!!!! I wish I could leave negative reviews but unfortunately I cannot so 1 star will have to do. Seriously disappointed and will NEVER buy from this brand again. The worst.
