Bought as a replacement; just what I needed

I purchased this to replace two 180 degree units that have failed after approximately 5 years. It is mounted 3.5 metres high and the detection is very poor. I have moved the sensor position several times without really any difference being noted. I have walked under it from the back to the front of our drive in complete darkness and on a number of occasions it has not operated the lighting at all . Even when it does switch , it has to detect twice on the red LED before it operates. I have now decided to purchase another two 180 degree units from Screwfix that are similar to the older units that failed . The older units were mounted at the same height and gave excellent detection for many years.. I could not recommend this product.

Not great range

Nice quality piece of kit, not the cheapest on the market, the range claim seems to be a little optimistic, I can stride up to it confidently knowing that the light won't come on until I get within 4 metres of it, (which is less than a third of the distance stated), and that's after I've been running on a frosty morning so temperature differential isn't the issue, the unit is mounted exactly as recommended. But like I say the quality is there in the build. Any thing Honeywell is usually a safe bet.

Works perfectly. My only grip is the fact it's dark grey and not black as advertised.
