These are as close to professional artist brushes that I'll ever need. I know there are better brushes around, but these are extremely high quality brushes. I was very impressed by the packaging from Nicpro. Impossible to become damaged during shipping. Each brush is individually encased in plastic and then all brushes are contained in a harder plastic container inside a very nice felt type draw string bag for future storage if you so desire. Wasn't expecting this. And it would be difficult to find fault with the brushes. A pretty complete set of any detail brush I'm going to be needing and so far the one's I've used have done the job well beyond adequately. No frays or loose fibers resulting in fine detailed painting. I wish I'd bought these prior to starting my current painting. I was about half done and didn't have the detail or quality brushes these are. And I can see a huge difference. It may end up looking like two different people had a hand in painting this LOL Also, I love the design and feel of the handles. The brushes are about 7 1/2" long from tip to end of handle and are just the right diameter for easy handling allowing great flexibility. And they have a flat surface near the top of the handle which not only facilitates holding the brush but totally eliminates brushes rolling around the table. LOVE THAT. And lastly, they really clean up easily. Oh, and one last thing. Nicpro includes a very descriptive pocket sized guide that explains all the elements of a brush, and a guide for each type (i.e. liner, round, spot, etc) and what they are best used for. I found that very helpful and thanks to Nicpro for that. If you're looking for a very nice set of detail brushes, these may very well be just what you've been looking for. They were for me. Highly recommend.

Very good, but although a lot of brushes, not a lot of diversity.

An absolute bargain! My wife and I just started with watercoloring about one year year ago. We have a few nice brushes but wanted to take the next step and treat herself with a variety pack to continue to explore the new lessons she is taking as they are getting more difficult since more details are included in the new paintings. We thought we would get something affordable at first to see if we really need all of these different shapes and sizes. I must say, we are incredibly surprised with the high quality of these brushes at such a low price-point. The school had some really nice "high end" sets but they were at the $80-$100 range. We have been painting with this set for about 3 weeks now, and I must say we do not believe there is a need to upgrade at all. Things that we like: - They are ergonomically shaped which makes holding the brush while working on fine details very easy as opposed to the normal thin brushes - The tips are very well made and pressed in place with very nice precision and force - The various tips were a surprise for us and it is really nice to follow along the lessons while having the correct tip in the set (as opposed to adapting with a 5 tips for all designs approach which is what we have been doing) - The carrying case is genius! simple and sturdy. They include a soft bag, but also a hard plastic shell which screws in place to protect the brushes. Due to the price point and qualityI will most likely be getting another set for myself so we don't have to share. 29 Jun 2023 - I upgraded these from 3 stars to 4 stars. It is true that some tips curled and the bristles separated on my size 2 brushes (round and flat), which is a bummer. However, the size 1 and 000 have become my workhorses for miniature painting. They have a consistent tip, nice spring, good paint flow, and have stood up to many hours of painting. I solved the curled tip problem on both by gently shaving the curl off the tip using a razor blade, and they have both performed without further curling for a while, now. --- Original Review ---- I can’t recommend these brushes despite the low price. I like the handles and the sizes in the set are convenient. However, after light use for painting miniatures, the tips curled on each brush. I salvaged them by shaving off the curled tip with a razor blade, but shouldn’t have to do that. My flat brush came with separated bristles and was unusable, and my size 2 brush did the same thing after a couple of uses, also rendering it useless.

I love the ergonomic handles on these. They allow me to paint with comfort and without my hand cramping up. The brush tips are a micro fine size and exactly what I was looking for. They allow me to get the details I can’t pant with bigger brushes. I have had them for several months now and they haven’t lost any hairs. They have held up well.

I have wanted some detailing brushes for the longest time. These were affordable and will do the job. I will be using these to paint details on my polymer clay creations. They came well packed in a soft bag within a plastic tube. Each individual brush had a plastic tube covering and plastic wrap. I don't think the plastic wrap was necessary, but I appreciate them making sure the brush came in good condition. The handle on these brushes are also easy on the hands. When painting small details, my hands sometimes cramp up, so the handle grip on these brushes alleviates some of the fatigue.

The brushes arrived promptly and are the same as in the picture. The handles are great - my arthritic fingers fit comfortably. The brushes are great quality and deliver the fine lines as they should

Very nice brushes. The handles fit very well in the hand and eliminate any cramping. Good quality and look very sturdy.
