Better Coverage
Setup didn’t take long and was easy to do. WiFi speeds are strong and stay consistent, even with all of our devices connected. Coverage is noticeably better than it was, with no random disconnects

Big Upgrade — Faster Wi-Fi and Much Better Coverage
picked up this EnGenius Wi-Fi 6 access point to improve coverage and it made an immediate difference. Speeds are noticeably better, connections feel more stable, and devices that used to struggle farther away are holding a strong signal now. Setup was straightforward if you’ve done basic network gear before, and once it’s up, it just runs without me babysitting it. This feels like a solid, business-grade upgrade compared to typical consumer routers, especially if you have a lot of devices or need reliable coverage. If you’re trying to level up your home or small office network, this one is worth itg

Give your WiFi a Little Boost
The EnGenius Wireless AP work great for those areas that need just a better WiFi. Ideal for small businesses that need to have their WiFi stronger in all areas of their business. This is a WiFi 6 dual band 4x4 access point. You can manage the access point via cloud or on premise giving you network flexibility. It’s extremely easy to set up and only takes a few minutes. There is no subscription that you have to pay to use the access point. This access point is powered by the router via an Ethernet cord but does include the optional dc power connector port. The only thing I did not like about the EnGenius Wireless AP is there was no power adapter or Ethernet cord included to be able to power the access point. Other than that this access point does exactly what it says it will do.

Very happy with my purchase
This was so easy to set up I didn't need even need to ask my husband, the IT guy, for help. It works great for my small store. I enjoy the security it provides while also helping me figure out where any problems are. The signal strength is able to cover all points and cameras in my store, which I was unable to do before. I was very happy there was no licensing and reoccurring fees like so many solutions I had considered. It really is a great purchase for larger homes, small businesses, etc.

BUYER BEWARE
2025-07-30 update2: Unfortunately 3 months after purchase it too late to get a return. I have messaged the manufacturer directly as this seems the only option. We'll see if I get any response. I am willing to upgrade this review if the manufacture can make it work for me. But as of this 5 minutes I can't recommend this product. 2025-07-30 update: I am going to see about returning this device. I was looking for a stand alone access point that provided dual band, has good range, and doesn't have a requirement to be "cloud managed" like so many of them do. I don't need someone managing my home's IT infrastructure, I can do that myself. Anyway, I wanted to like this device but it just doesn't work with my home network and I have had to revert to my $50 LinkSys E5600 that gives more reliable service than this device. This device continuously drops all of my 2.4 GHz IOT devices. I have a number of "smart" switches and video cams that connect on 2.4 only. I have tried limiting the channel(s) and using a fixed channel but I end up having to reboot the AP every couple of days and even that doesn't always guarantee that the devices will reconnect. Furthermore I use the 5 GHz channels for my phones and notebook computers around the home and they are also continuously dropping off. I have updated the firmware 2 or 3 times as the updates became available, hoping to resolve the issue but no joy. As I said, I have reverted to my "cheap LinkSys" that provides more reliable connection. Original review: This device was easy to setup and configuration settings were obvious for me. However, I struggled for about 15-20 minutes trying to save a configuration using Firefox 136.0.4 on Windows 11. Using that browser I cannot save the configuration. After clicking Apply, the screen is re-rendered with no change. Over and over. If I use MS Edge it works just fine. Lots of options including a scheduler to turn on and off the wireless on a schedule and using RADIUS for authenticating clients. Seems to support 8 SSIDs. This device does not support DFS channels in the 5GHz range. Only U-NII-1 and U-NII-3. Also, does not support 160 MHz wide channels. So far it is working fine. No noticeable speed improvement to my old Linksys AP that I replaced. But not any slower either.

Works well to boost coverage in my area
I admit that for the price, I am disappointed that this did not include a charging cable, but I digress. The access point is larger than what I’ve had in the past, measuring at 8.1 inches on all sides, and includes the mounting bracket and hardware. It’s a nice white shade that easily blends into my wall space. Setup was not problematic and straightforward to walk through using the given QR code to start. My residential area has patchy service at best, and this access point is helping to achieve better coverage all over the house, so dead zones be gone. I’m really pleased that I don’t have to struggle to find just the right spot near one of the windows at a particular time of day to have service. Functionally sound and connectivity is consistent. Haven’t had any security issues regarding this device. I certainly recommend if you need a boost to unpredictable or patchy service.

Does what it needs with a strong signal
Purchased for a client and it has been stable with strong signals throughout the office once setup was completed. Setup is tedious but not difficult unless you are impatient. Office Coverage is strong.

This does not replace your Wi-Fi router! It is an extender
Doesn't come with a power cord, which is essential to power their product you are purchasing. Functionality seems to be good. Rebooting is decently quick. Signal strength is good, but this is a mirror Wi-Fi extender. You cannot replace your router with this for better connectivity. This would be used. If you have a barn that you're trying to connect the Wi-Fi to, but it has to be plugged in through the ethernet cord from your router. It does not go off of Wi-Fi signal itself to act as Wi-Fi. I would not buy this if you're trying to replace your router
